Uh... what the hell? When I click trailers on the IE website I can only see an arrow on the right side (nothing happens when I click on it). Then in stills there are more arrows to flip through the stills, only I can't see the pictures... The link for the trailers on this forum doesn't work for me either... I can see the poster though.

That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

Thanks a lot Vartigmen! Good trailer but way too short... odd that Lynch's longest film gets the shortest trailer...Does anyone know who sings the song in it?

Brings back great memories! Cant wait to see it again. Not the best trailer ever though...but i think it would be nearly impossible to make any sort of slightly coherent trailer for IE!

GREAT music.

WOWIE!  David Lynch singing!  I'm so glad you guys posted the YouTube Video, because I was getting very frustrated with the IE site.  The music is great!

Laura Dern definitely looks like the "woman in trouble."  Do you think it will ever come to Omaha, NE?

The trailer makes the film quality look bad. I've seen IE, and I can tell you taht the trailer is not representative of the look of DV.

This would look good on your wall.

I actually liked the look of the trailer... Was that really Lynch singing? BTW could anyone tell me what Grace Zabriskie was saying? The sound was really bad, I had trouble making it out. I was kind of surprised the trailer didn't really show all the stars... but I guess it was how Lynch wanted it. Oh and the masked figure was really cool and scary, as were the rabbits.

"Evil was born, and followed the boy" is what it sounded like to me.
She's using The Count's accent too, so a little counting lesson would be fitting.
"Ten, remember that number... One, two ah ah ah ah..."

The music of the trailer is good indeed. I like the black and white images of the disc. However, I was disappointed because I had the feeling to see a mixture of his movies... Nothing was really new this time.

One thing's for sure:i it looked bad, really bad.... God, I hope the movie is better than what is shown in the trailer. Most of the time, the trailers they're making out of movies end up being totally different things. By the way, I couldn't see much in that You tube video because I have an old rotting monitor. I'm purchasing it a new one, LCD, hoping to see this one better.

Concerning the poster, I was fine with it except the fact that the file was too small and the credits were almost unreadable.

'soooo straaaaange what love does '

'I look for an opening, do you understand?'

I thought the shuffling and shambling quality made it sound more like something from Blue BOB. Like Mountains Falling.

The one on Wikipedia is far superior and it still isn't one I'd pay money for.

When David received his life-achievement award at Venice they played a compilation of his films with a song playing in the background. I REALLY want to know what the song was...does anyone have any idea? I cant remember if anyone here saw that compilation? If not then there is a brief clip of it somewhere on youtube..I cant find it now, but if anyone has seen it, its the Russian (i think) news report on INLAND EMPIRE at Venice Film Festival. Ill try and find the link.

I would love to get hold of the "compilation" but the song is the next best thing!

Eta: Ive found the clip- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w83IaV5foQg&mode=related&search=

hatter; I'll have to agree with you on that Pink Room statement.

Just came up with this one, thought that I just had to tell you this "joke"; being both a Finnish film student and a Lynch fan it would be nice to sometimes make a tribute to Lynch, a parody, or something like that. Now what would a thing like that be called? Finland Empire! ;)

Hmm... I like the poster on the website far better than the Wikipedia poster... BTW the poster on Wikipedia says that Badalamenti does the music after all...

I do not think that is a genuine official poster. For one, the text on it looks suspiciously done on some crappy computer image program. Secondly, one of the photos at the bottom are not in the movie (the circus one). It does not give distribution credit to Studio 518 or Absurda, the editing is credited only to Lynch whereas someone (i forget who) helped him, Angelo did not do the music for IE, there is a misspelling of Justin Theroux...Compare the credits of the poster from the official site, and it's obviously clear that the one on Wikipedia is a fake.

Take that!

I'd like to say another word about the trailer. Apart from my earlier comment about it not giving justice to what the DV actually looks like on the big screen, the trailer does NOTHING to represent the movie. I was confused as to why whoever made it chose the scenes they did. It was odd that some of the top billed actors weren't in it. I was also shocked that one of what i thought was the most disturbing scene in the movie (you can probably guess what it is) was in the trailer. Let me tell you, that scene was f*cked up. IAR will know what i'm talking about.

Guys, don't judge IE on the trailer or the poster. Trust me.

Does the trailer ruin that scene or is it extreamly impacting in the film ? Because just seeing shots from the black lodge does nothing to how it really feels.

MrsTremond- I know EXACTLY what you mean. I would be very very surprised if Lynch made that trailer and Im confused as to why he has let it be made like that.

Firstly, its true that it doesnt do anything to convey what the film is like or about...Secondly, that scene should not be in there because I personally feel it spoils the scene which MrsTremond mentions and thirdly...its just nowehere near as good as any other Lynch trailer Ive seen. It could have been fantastic..instead its ordinary, short and slightly misrepresentative. It also feels disjointed...I did mention in an earlier post that making a trailer of this film would be VERY HARD but still...the more I think about it the more I feel the trailer could have been so much better.

I like that it brings back my memories from the film, but otherwise...not overly impressed. Im confused as to who made it to be honest. The more I watch it the more I dislike it.

I think that maybe they tried to use some images that might intrigue people enough to go see it.
Because honestly, would anyone have an interest in this movie if it didn't have the name David Lynch attached to it?

Would anyone want to see this film if David Lynch was not attached to it? Then it wouldn't be INLAND EMPIRE but Alien vs. Predator 2 and HELL YES, I'd see that!
