"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

Stripe and Leland!  Hell yeah!  The LMFAP and Mike would join together and speak in unison backwards "One and the same."

I think you underestimate the cultural influence of Skeletor, Merman, Beastman, Man at Arms, and Battle Cat.

hell i just won a merman off ebay last week. i love that stuff. my study is steeped in dumb 80s toys. i just think it's a poor substitute for wit. all three of us are better than that, and do better on a regular basis.

Merman is an ocean warlord.  Have you noticed all He-Man characters take steroids?

It wasn't meant to be funny, it was a serious experiment in recontextualisation.

You are correct.  It was some hard hitting journalism brought to the lurkers by some denizens of the Twin Peaks Gazette.  This thread may even end up being a sticky.

I remember when you couldn't walk 5 feet in the 80s without seeing someone wearing a Ghostbusters T-shirt.  Long live Ray Parker, Jr.
