If I got a nickel for every post you didn't make, I'd be dead.

Answer the question.  The choice....is yours.

Anybody who wants to take me this next time around may feel free to also pay my room and board for the Fest.

In exchange, I will provide you with my company and pie.

This is a FORMICA table... GREEN is it's color!

Company and pie. :D That's awesome.

FYI Folks....we've confirmed Carel Struycken as our first official celebrity guest for the 2009 Festival. :D We have two others we're waiting to hear back from before more announcements happen. Yay! This will be Carel's second festival attendance. He first attended as a guest back in 1997. He is really excited to be joining us again.

Carel Struycken

I saw him in a somewhat amusing short film about a couple communicating using books.
The high point was probably when he pulled out the book Vinegar Puss because his girlfriend/wife doesn't want to have sex with him.

it would be kind of hilarious if he was a real dickhole, wears sunglasses the whole time (even indoors) and aggressively hits on all the ladies

Does anyone ever ask the celebrity guests any silly questions during the dinner?

Search the dinner transcripts for the word "cherrybomb."

I envy that.  I want my TP experience to be rich and understand it on 37 different levels as well.

How does one get around to the different Fest sites if under the influence?

get rides with sober people (or at least less drunk people), or don't start seriously getting down to business until you get to the edgewick

The Barn, the former locale for the dinner night, was about a mile from all the motels by Twede's & The Red Diamond/Mt. Si Motel. (North Bend Motel, Sunset Inn, Edgwick Inn.) A straight drive down North Bend Way. Pretty safe if you're under the legal limit.

FYI, the new dinner locale is right around the corner from the Roadhouse (and Hap's,) but about 20 minutes from the Edgewick. The police in the area have little else to do at night on North Bend Way but bust drunken drivers, and there are warning signs all up and down the road.

The Great Northern/Salish is 5 miles away, on a narrow winding pass-- very unsafe in the dark, lots of memorials from drunken driving deaths on the pass, but I doubt many of you are staying there.

Since there are no cab companies in the area, I highly recommend finding a designated driver. Don't drink and drive, kiddies.

We didn't have a choice. We called, they said "Suckit". Well, at least, it sounded like "Suckit" but it might have also been "We have no insurance on it for rentals at this time, plus we're hoping to do a bit of remodeling, so we will not be accepting rental requests for it this year."

Trust me. I didn't like changing venues any more than you fans liked us changing venues. That being said, the new venue we'll be using this year is actually pretty decent. Plus it might be nice to try something different. We've been at the barn since 2000. Something fresh never hurt anyone. Much.

I saw the Salish Lodge rates.  Not reasonably priced.  Cooper wouldn't stay there.
