When Cooper was questioning Bobby about Laura's death, he said: "Bobby, here's how this works: We ask the questions and you answered the questions that we asked.Brefly and to the point" I like that very much.
Faster and faster. For a long time you wouldn't feel anything. Than you would burst in the fair... forever. And the angels wouldn't help you. Because they've all gone away...

I like it when Pete storms in to the sheriff's station in the last episode and says "Grand theft auto!" (Followed by "The Log Lady stole my truck!") No one could deliver a line quite like Jack Nance.
The question is, Where have you gone?

I have a thing about Tojamura. Piper Laurie's bizarre voice always makes me laugh. Some favourites: (on musicals) "I find the adherence to fantasy troubling and unreasonable." (on Ben's business) "You waste my time. We shall withdraw." (on not being from Twin Peaks) "I am a visitor." (on hotel payments) "Caash, prease." PS: I love "Grand theft auto!" too.
"What credit card do you want to put that on?" "Caash, prease."

Dennis/Denise Bryson to Cooper: (Sitting by the bar at the Milford wedding holding the bride's bouquet) "Unfair advantage. How many of those girls were varsity wide receivers...?"

Both seasons are filled with great, great quotes. And these seven pages proves it. But one of my favorite lines is one not spoken at all. In the Pilot episode where Coop and Harry question James at the police station, Coop writes "he did not do it" on his electronic notebook and hands it over to Harry. I simply loved the line and scene when I first saw it. How Coop used technology, how he typed it with one hand, we start to grasp what fascinating caracter this is, etc. Of course there are better one-liners in TP but this has stuck with me ever since. And - James did not do it. The only thing James was guilty of was singing in an awful high pitched voice, bad acting and that horrible one dimentional look on his face. But that's the topic of another thread...

Bobby: "How was work today?" Major: "Work? Work was good." Bobby: "Dad..." Major: "Yes son." Bobby: "...what is it that you do exactly?" Major: "That's classified." Followed by the Major's brilliant monologue of course. A great scene in an otherwise disappointing episode.

Not to forget: Coop: Well, the first penguin said to the second penguin, "You look like you're wearing a tuxedo." And the second penguin said,"Maybe I am." Dale in love. Luv it.

Like you said yourself, that episode is pretty abysmal. But that scene is easily one of my favourites of the entire show. The writing is great; it's so moving. Especially when you watch it back now after Don's passing.

Disappointing? Maybe. Abysmal? Hell no. Episode 8 is a fine episode, and Frost's writing is great. Ed's story by Nadine's bed, Coop needing "a few hours to get dressed", "how're you doin' down there?", "Harry, that goes without saying" - not to mention the major's monologue and Ronette's flashback at the end - all classic moments.
Speaking of which... I'm not sure if anyone mentioned "How're you doin' down there?"
"What credit card do you want to put that on?" "Caash, prease."

Don't know if this has been mentioned already and not exactly a quote, but when Cole is shouting at Desmond in FWWM his location - "ORE-EE-GON!!!!" - cracks me up every time.
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this." -Dale Cooper

How funny....I love the "OR-E-GON" line too... Another great one is, "Cooper, today you remind me of small Mexican CHI WOW-WOW".....
"Diane, I'm holding in my hand a small box of chocolate bunnies."
