QUOTE:The list says it'll include TP trading cards. Anyone know if they are the physical, tangible cards packaged in the set, or pics of them on the DVD?

It will be a photo gallery of the trading cards. There will be actual postcards in the set though. Clink link below for a full list of special features:

Jerry Horne, your site mentions "8 interactive maps."  Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it one map with 8 interactive sites on it?

Er, um, what?

I'm quoting the Digital Bits when i say '8 interactive maps' I've also heard 'Interactive map with 8 pods' The official press release simply mentions 'An interactive map' Let's just call it an interactive map(s).

Jordan, where are you?

Or if anyone can answer on his behalf, what exactly did you say about the cover art at the fest?

You can buy sets of Twin Peaks trading cards for peanuts on Ebay, or from Bruce Philips.

At the risk of sounding like a message board troll I still hate that gold cover and it's a shame because the picture itself is rather nice. I've read David Lynch's reasoning about it being gold because it's of the highest quality but all the philosophy in the world isn't going to stop it making my house look ugly. The Short Films and Eraserhead 2000 DVDs are amazing in every respect and come in beautiful packaging but now I think about it, if they weren't even special enough to have gold covers... could it be that everything I ever believed in is wrong?

Heh, that's fantastic, Booth.  :)

Am I to understand from this thread that David is involved in the making of this boxed set to the extent that he's picking the cover art?  This seems a bit strange to me given its crappiness.  I'm skeptical.

I can't believe too that Lynch supervised or even just approved that disastrous art...

What's Leland holding in Booth's pic? Laura's photo?

I can't really say for sure about the art. I'm still corssing my fingers they decide to do a different cover. But I'm of the mind that I don't care about the box itself. It's the inside that really matters to me in the long run, and frankly, I'm thrilled to finally be able to talk about some of this!! :) In any case, all my DVD covers go out into the trash anyway once I get the DVDs.

I can tell everyone that Charlie and his crew have been working their butts off to get us one of the best DVD sets that is imaginable. I really do believe everyone will be thrilled with the final result, and realize oh so much how New Line screwed us in the end with FWWM.

And totally off-topic, if you are a Blade Runner fan, Charlie and his company did the features for the upcoming Blade Runner DVD set. Check out the Digital Bits review of what was presented at Comic Con.

No matter how many times I see the Twin Peaks cover I still feel shocked and then nauseous. You know when Pete sniffs the tray of hospital food? I'll be buying the R1 set but live in hope there'll eventually be a R2 Complete Mystery set in different packaging.

Does anyone know if this DVD will have the scene people overseas saw where Maddy sees Bob in the rug instead of just blood?  I would LOVE to see that

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

Chances are that any alternate cuts that were used overseas will not be included in this set.

It's on the old Spanish full series DVDs, if I remember correctly. I think I threw them away after the Paramount sets came out. It's on youtube if you haven't seen it before. I sure hope that's not one of the four deleted scenes, I always thought that was really cheesy - and not really deleted either.

Yeah to be perfectly honest, I'm kinda scared that it WILL be one of the deleted scenes.

I think it should be included... It's a very important alternative shot that most US viewers probably are curious to see...and own in a DVD set...

On the amazon site with special features, they list something not included in any of the press releases: Commentary by David Lynch, Madchen Amick, and Kyle MacLachlan. Now this may be a complete mistake because as before, it was never announced in any "official" capacity, and you'd expect hell to freeze over when David Lynch does an audio commentary. Someone at the dugpa forums said that they could be confusing it with the round-table "Slice of Lynch" discussion. However, there are two things:

1)The Slice of Lynch featurette is listed separate from the alleged commentary, and,

2)They list the audio specs for the alleged commentary

 Imagine if it's the truth.
