1. Annie and John Justice -my friends and I were throwing things at the screen 17 years ago.  Nothing against Heather or Billy, just we hated their inclusion out of the blue to overcome the Cooper/Audrey arc being jetisoned.

3. Little Nicky -more of the plot than anything else.

4. Evelyn -a whole plot that didn't work or should have been included at all

5. Donna -it was fine in the beginning with the whole sort of wholesome Nancy Drew element, but I couldn't stomach her in the second season -"Evelyn!  Please don't let him die!!!!" "You're my daddy!!  You're my daddy!!!"

"Ive got good news....that gum you like is going to come back in style!"

"I'm a WHOLE DAMN TOWN!"

Mr Pinkle appeared in the beauty pagent and the pine weasel benefit. Malcolm was Evelyn's "brother".

Having watched TP again in full for the first time since 1991, i can give a revised list. I had forgotten huge sections: I forgot Leo woke up, Jean Renault, all the chess stuff, Denise etc. In other words: most of S2.

1) Little Nicky (for the storyline)

2) Evelyn (as above)

3) JJ Wheeler (least glorious scene in TP is when Audrey loses her virginity)

4) Nadine (for S2 episodes)

5) James (honourable demotion to no. 5, still irritating but not so much)

BTW, I think we should disqualify really minor characters like Pinkle, Heidi etc.

I could do with out Battis and Blacky a whole lot sooner, they could have died sooner. Doc Hayward is a little cheesy as well.

Josie is equal to Ernie total irritation. I like Malcolm now, he is funny, but I still loath Evelyn and James is no better

1) James, so dull and so sweet, pretty much the reason why Laura got bored of him so quickly.

2) Evelyn, just a pointless part of the story, James' character just didnt need to be in it anymore, nevermind have such a major storyline with her.

3) Dick - I know he's supposed to be annoying, and he really is.

4) Josie - It pains me that Harry loved her, he could have had someone so much better! (i.e. me!  )

5) Annie - I just didnt like her. She wasnt 'right'.

2. Harold Smith (If he didn't kill himself, I thought to enter in the screen ad do it by myself. Stupid a-social, put your orchids up in the *** and let us read Laura's secret diary!) 

3. Dick Tremain (Absolutely viscid. Maybe gay. Impossible for him to be the father of Lucy's baby.)

4. James Hurley (a Priapus cross-dressed like a Romeo, totally out of control. At least, he almost had more sexual relationships than Ben Horne, not considering the ones that Be had in the Black Eyed Jack's!)

5. The Elderly and Senile Room Service Waiter (well, you enter in a hotel room and see a man who is lying on the floor almost dead, CALL A DOCTOR INSTEAD OF TALKING ABOUT A CUP OF MILK! STUPID FOOLISH GRANNY!)

audry was a femme fatale, too, but she was savvy and intelligent. as well as funny as hell.

lana's clothing choices were the worst of 80's fashion; she needed fashion policing big time.

I am suprised that many people don't like James, I thought that I was the one:). Yes, he is really irritating with his foolish mistakes with the women, especially Eveline. I don't like Josie too with her "Ooooh, Harry" snivel; Eveline (I don't know why);Lana with her oldman's fever and I don't like Leo.

I have to disagree with you on Mr. Pinkle. I actually think that he is pretty funny. In these two scenes anyway:

1. When he tries the harness meant for Leo and it is freaking out. "Bobby, I have a problem here..."

2. On stage with Tremayne when he is talking about the pine weasel. "How is everybody doing!"... dead silence... "That's good." "...beaueautiful fur!"

OK, here's where I admit that I only liked the Annie character because I'm hot for Coop.

 That aside, my least fave characters are:

1. Evelyn Marsh

3. Lana Milford

4. Ernie Niles

5. Josie Packard
