Outlaw, Sorry, man. We seem to be gettin' off on the wrong foot. Glad to hear that you're just a fellow sarcaster. I got the tone of the Toad thread. He was a utilitarian scapegoat character, which is how I used him in my scripts. And my short film on Flappy was just that sort of "Unsung Hero" expose sorta deal. And I didn't take any of that stuff personally. I'm admittedly a bit protective of the TP cast & crew who I've met over the years. I've never kissed ANYONE'S butt, though. As for Psycho, I don't believe he was ever banned. However, some of his & Missy's nastier posts were deleted. They were really pushing some folks' buttons there & then wondered why some people were a bit standoffish towards them. I tried being friendly towards him, but in the end, he more or less kept to himself (& Missy). He was basically an okay guy who sabotaged himself with an obnoxious facade. Oh, & he was insistent that people call him Psycho, instead of his real name (which I refused to do). He later admitted that was a foolish thing to do. Anyway, you don't care for James. Big deal. I'm just on the lookout for the truly offensive fan, out of touch with reality, who screws it up for the rest of us. You're not him. Sorry you won't be able to attend. I look forward to further sarcasm from you.

poor James. I've always felt sorry for the guy. I mean, we should PITY him for all the Evelyn Marsh crap. Yeah, it was tough for us to go through it, but he went through it too. It just feels so wrong that that should be the last we ever saw of him too. And the song. I hate the song as much as anyone else. The worst thing Lynch ever did if you ask me. Putting it in the episode, and then pitch shifting the vocals like that... horrible. But you know, I think if you watch Fire Walk With Me, you'll see a James you could like. Maybe not. Maybe I'm just a James sympathiser, but to see him being ranked up their with Evelyn and Little Nicky as the most irritating characters... just makes me reflect on how bad a storyline they saddled him with in series 2. He should have become a deputy.

Just You and I is the only thing I found annoying about James' character. Every damn moment of any given Little Nicky scene sucks so much ass.

Its hard to decide because you have characters that are annoying and actors who do a poor job that are annoying. But anyway, 1. James H.(on both counts, bad acting, annoying character) 2. Donna H.(more because of the character) 3. Leo J.(just plain bad acting) 4. Dick(annoying character) 5. Lucy's sister(sorry can't recall her name at the moment)

Not to me, I just did not buy him as a badass. I will say however his few scenes in FWWM were much better.

I prefer Leo in FWWM!His acting is really better in the movie,than in the series.

In general I like Leo! Of course his performance was great in the series.An awesome actor!!He's also one of my faves,but anyway I prefer Leo in FWWM :)

Seems like we both dig Leo,but...I'm afraid this thread is about irritating characters ...I'm waiting for a Leo's thread...which reminds me again of our gazetter Gordon...where did he go? Who's gonna be the hero in the next "weekly character thread" ?

Mr. Moody irritates me. Like Emory Battis, he's a dirty old man in a position of power- but he leches on Norma, the classiest lady in town, and questions her integrity. I know it's just one scene, but I'd deck him.

it's real strange for me. i think all characters introduced at certain times in the series are entirely good/bad. i love every single person in the pilot and season one. all the characters from these times remained really interesting until the very end but most of the new ones introduced were really stupid. i don't like jean, blackie's sister, norma's mom, mr pinkle, evelyn, jeffrey, malcom, all those judges and everything to do with the drug plot after ep16. there are some grand exceptions however, including windom, annie, the giant, the tremonds, GORDON, some others.
