Had to stop by and say goodbye before it all ends.

 I haven't been around in forever. But the 2004-2006 days when I was a semi-active member gave so many great memories, and I met a great deal of wonderful people. 

 If it weren't for this site, I would have never met Ditte, and then had a spectacular 10 day trip to Denmark to meet her and Lars. 

 So long, and thanks for all the great memories. 

Wow, so so many memories.  :(  As I read through the four pages of comments here, I found myself wanting to "Like" every one of them! 

 I've checked out several of the people I've met through the Gazette and the TP Fest and see many of us share over 100 mutual friends on facebook!  It was Brian Kursar who first suggested I try out TPG.  Said there was a really nice couple running it.  I wasn't all that interested in chatting about Twin Peaks but discovered that the Current Events and Politics caught my fancy. 

Many of you are my friends on Facebook and I hope that those who miss the Gazette coming January 1, check out the Twin Peaks Festival facebook page and look for all your long lost friends.  (Rebel, Booth...)

Like Amanda, I would love to meet Booth in person.  In fact I INSIST you make an effort to leave your gardening business in Alaska and make a short trip over to the mainland this coming August!  Don't make me track you down. 

I'm afraid to read through the archives both from embarrassment and from the inevitable pain of nostalgia.  Glad they exist but will stay clear.  

Jordan, Kelly, Rebel = with all my heart and soul thank you for being the best of the BEST on the internet all these years.  I've lost count but I know I was there in back in the 20th century.  Glad to know those of you I've met in person and hope to meet others in the Pacific Northwest at the Best Damned Family Reunion known to mankind!  Oh, and there's Twin Peaks and Lynchian stuff that goes on there too.

Since I went to film school, I've heard a million variations on "When are ya gonna shoot a porno?" But never before has my name been interpreted as a dirty anagram. That's why we love you, Booth.

I'd never encourage anybody to sign up for a social networking site, but occasionally FB actually does as advertised. Connects people. I've continued the pop cultural conversation with several Gazette folks there. Posting the equivalents of "Last movie, a little more in-depth" and "Last CD You Bought". Even "Guess the Movie," but with quotes instead of screencaps.

The nice thing about those archives is that every third pic or so in the caption threads will actually load. Though, like Susan, I'm avoiding digging too deep, out of the embarrassment of my teenage posts. Which are like my 20's posts but slightly more precocious.

I've been avoiding commenting on this thread, not ready to acknowledge the finality of the Gazette until the very end.  The time spent here has been great.  I check in almost anytime I go online, usually four or five times a day.  I still have many responses I've wanted to post over the years, but unfortunately a lack of time sometimes limited my comments to threads like "Either/Or" and "The last thing you ate." 

I'm thankful for the great people I know only by their TPG postings, and even more fortunate to have met many of you in person.  Most of all I appreciate the efforts of Jordan and Kelly.  The Circular Report was great, Twin Peaks Gazette was even better.  Thank you.

 I did register at dugpa.com.  Since they require a three character minimum for a name, I am "B.." now. 

 Oops, it did?  I better go check it out myself.  It's not my fault I live in Boogie Night San Fernando Valley.  Like they say about the coyotes in these parts, we were here first.

The future...

Well, well. I have marked a few replacement websites. ( perhaps i can view facebook-without signing up ?) Anyway, I have also harvested a few emails from TPG folks. And, I am relatively close to the Twin Peaks Festival site now. I have never met anyone in the flesh from the interweb. Must be innaresting. Again, all the best to everyone. So long ! ( not goodbye ).  

Maybe you guys could book Booth as an added guest for the Festival ? 

To substitute the posting on boards thing, i now respond to Yahoo articles. Different deal : scads of responses, you must hope for 'trending now " status early and then from there to " most replied" ones. You need some luck-good timing to score with "ups" early on.

While I haven't posted much lately, I still would visit often and will truly miss this board. You both have contributed so much to the world of Twin Peaks especially in bringing the community together to share the love we have for the works of David Lynch and Mark Frost. 

I wish you both and you family all the best.

I've been avoiding coming here again because it bums me out. But I'm back for one last hurrah. For what it's worth, you are all a part of my crazy little Peaks family. Even though I've not said much in a few years, it doesn't mean I don't consider each of you a friend.
