Let's see... The scene where Leland tries to dance with everybody is really sad and depressing... The Giant saying: "It is happening again, it is happening again" is very sad, disturbing and almost frightening... The scene where Waldo dies is more creepy than sad... Call me crazy and weird, but I was seriously depressed when they said that Catherine was dead.

well... so was Pete! :-) And we could call him crazy, couldn't we? Sometimes people are sad even though "objectively" they might not...

Youre right abuot the Leland trying to dance scene. Oh. It's not a crying one for me, not that type but it really moves deeply.

I finally saw episode 16, and I have to say that during the scene where Donna told James about Maddy's death I came pretty close to crying. Leland's death scene.... hmmm.... you guys all seem to love it, but I have mixed feelings about it. I would say that it alternated between being touching and great, and cheesy and sappy... "Go into the light" was a bit too much for me.

Well,I have never cried while watching Twin Peaks, but there are a lot of scenes which are very sad.Yes,"Laura was a patient of mine",the scene when Donna said to James that Maddy was murdered is very sad,and Leland's death is impressive.

"I love you, James!"

Donna crying as Laura's death is announced and the way she desperately looks at James as if she's saying "We had this coming"

"Donna, are you my best friend?!"

The scene where the angel image in the picture vanishes.

The whole scene where Leland and Sarah first grieve on their daughter's death.

The scene of Laura at school feeling time go by and then moving away from her desk, which is empty right after.

"Did they scoff the whole damn Smörgåsbord?" (Audrey)

"Gimme a donut!" (Coop)

QUOTE:There is only one scene that made my eyes leak, and that is when Garlon Briggs tells his son Bobby anout his vision of him. This scene changed my whole view on Bobby Briggs. He was allways that hot-rod, crazy-cool kid in town, with such an attitude. But in this scene I saw a kid with enormous respect of his father, showing his feelings weither he wanted or not. The music, Bobbys reaction, and Garlons extraordinary way of speeking made that scene so perfect that I cried.

When he said "I wish you nothing but the best", I realised that I loved Twin Peaks more than any other movie or series in the world.

I completely agree with you. Even if I never cried. But it was close *S*

But it is a really great scene full of emotion. And as you said, the music, how Bobby reacts. It is the first time in the series that you see Bobby in a serious way respecting his father.

The way Garland describes how he comes to his childhood place and knocking at the door and see his son standing there full of happiness and how he later wakes up with a great feeling inside.

Very very good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knox - you only wote to posts on the board. but this one - excellent! :-)

I myslef cried only (a little bit whough a few times) on Leland's death scene but what you mentioned surely is a moment worth a few tears. Yes.
And it does change the perspective of Bobby, doesn't it? Even if Bobby doesn't change much directly afterwards.

The infamous "goodnight princess" scene....  I get so sad because that's the last time we get to see Leland (without BOB) interacting with Laura.  You see that he really loves her and he doesn't even really understand what is going on within himself.  He knows that something is horribly wrong though and he's so tormented by it.  WAAAAHH!!!  That just makes me want to bawl my eyes out.

Also at the end of the last episode.....  I get sad because it's over.  "What?  There's no more?  Lame"

I'm just a little fairy princess.... I am mad with the power.  MUHUHUHUHAHAHA!!!

I've always thought the Maddy/Leland-funeral-episode was very emotional. During the funeral we learn some stories that has happened in Twin Peaks over the last years. Cooper is saying how much he is going to miss this place. The most tearfull scene however is when Harry and Coop is saying goodbye with Harry giving him the BookhouseBoys-badge.

And, the scene where Ben's watching the old 8mm-movie is kind of sad.

The first scene where I tore up was when Dr. Jacoby was lying flowers on Laura's grave.

Im far too manly to have cried during anything however, I will admit that the Question in a world of Blue scene in FWWM is very emotional...for some people. Not me.

I've cried in a fair few films (the big girls blouse that I am) but never during TP which is a bit strange, especially as I find it very emotional. Here are the scenes that upset me the most:

Maddy's murder, especially when Bobby and co get upset themselves.

Donna crying at school when the principal announces Laura's death.

'Gone, like a turkey in the corn'

'Donna, are you my best friend?'

'Good night sweetheart'

'Do you think if you were falling in space.........and the angels had all gone away'

How in Bob's name could I have forgotten that scene? It makes me weepy probably more than any scene except Coop in the Roadhouse as Maddy is being killed. Great call, knox!

You also reminded me of another: after Briggs goes missing, Bobby relates that story to his mom to try and calm her down, and she says "When I sleep at night, he runs his fingers through my hair. He doesn't think I notice. But I do." - that line gets me quite sad too. I just love the way that when we are first introduced to the Briggs family, it looks like a case of two very strict, unloving parents and a loose cannon of a kid - but over the course of the series, we realise how much heart and soul is actually present in the Briggs household.

Has he taken his eyes off it yet?

I didn't cry but when the bomb goes off at the bank, killing Pete and Audrey(I assume) I was pretty upset.  Especially for Pete who was just such a nice guy.  Also when he is singing his impromptu songs about Josie.

Another one where I got emotional: When they're questioning Leland about him killing Jacques Renault and he breaks down.

LELAND
(his eyes shine with unshed tears)
He killed my Laura. The things he did to her... have
you ever experienced ... absolute loss?

COOPER
(gently)
I doubt any of us is a stranger to grief.

LELAND
(looking into his heart)
It's more than grief. So deep inside you, every cell
screams. You hear nothing else.
(beat)
Yes I killed him. Yes, Yes, Yes ...

And I'll see you
And you'll see me
And I'll see you in the branches that blow
In the breeze,
I'll see you in the trees
Under the sycamore trees

Yeah...that scene is a good one. Really pulls at the heartstrings. Another scene that gets me is when Harry is at the Bookhouse, in grief over Josie, and Coop comforts him with a hug. "I don't understand...there's a whole lot I don't understand..." "We're all like that." Awww!!
