That article screams internet hoax, although I wish it was true. I find it hard to believe Cale would announce a continuation since he doesn't even own the rights and the comment about Lynch being too busy with his TM which is much maligned amongst fans. Sketchy at best.
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this." -Dale Cooper

Well, I think it could either be very good or very bad. Who's taking bets on which one it'll be. Twin Peaks doesn't seem to work without Lynch and maybe he was right to put it to rest hmm? Or it could be absolutely amazing. Who knows.

I wrote about this on the fest board, but I wanted to put in my 2 cents here. I feel IF it is just 5 minute fun little Cooper moments...then that would be cool. HOWEVER, if it actually CONTINUES the Twin Peaks storyline, it should not be done without what Lynch and Frost WANTED to do...or at least in the general direction they wanted to go in. THat being said...it wouldn't be cool if it treads in this area. I personally hope (as I have stated before) than perhaps Lynch is waiting for the 25 year mark. That would be awesome for a movie to come out continueing the TP saga. He wanted to make a few more after FWWM but the public response killed it. He may be awaiting for the proper time to do it. At the fest a few years ago, he said in a video "We are still waiting to see if one year they will find the missing pages of Laura Palmer's diary." This gives me hope of a PROPER conclusing being done one day.

"Dear Diary,
Today I ate everything in the fridge and pretended I knew nothing about it. Hee hee hee hee! I am so bad!
Oh, and got raped by BOB, again. (insert strange and rather disturbing poem here)
Love, Laura." I think that's what we're waiting for.

All the handguns are going to be replaced by CGI walkie talkies.

Mobisodes?
What is the above all about? With regards to this whole announcement, wouldn't such comments from Kyle be sourced from a longer interview somewhere? Since that doesn't seem to be the case it makes it pretty clear its been invented by someone somewhere... But how does that happen? How do all these news sources carry this article without proof of its legitimacy? And what is the motivation for someone to invent this and how did they manage to get it out there and spread like wildfire to so many newspapers and news sources on the Net?

i think if the headline read "Mark Frost Runs to David Lynch's House Shrieking With Excitment Ove His New Idea for a Twin Peaks Series" instead of "Actor with Mediocre Career Tries to Return to Glory Days" i would be a lot more interested. you gotta have a story first, man.
edit: for the record, i really like kyle mcgloughlin (in spite of being apparantly unable to spell his name), i just think he's made some bizzare choices. showgirls? kyle, kyle, kyle....

What surprises me and someone already mentioned is that it's Kyle who (apparently) wants it to happen, the same Kyle who didn't want to know anything about Coop when FWWM was in the making... Is he really that desperate? I honestly can't believe it... What's next? Lara as Donna?? Oh boy, did I say that out loud... The mobisodes thing was obviously a joke...I hope... I didn't hate all the LOST ones, there are a few that are really good... The spin-off novels, however, are crap; as Coco would put it, they are "horse pucky", which makes me think that following TP in a series of books is not a terrible idea, but certainly isn't a very good one...

Are they going to use a CGI Frank Silva or have a new actor play BOB?

Dinosaur Jr.? Now that is a name I haven't heard since circa 1992.

I will only watch it if Michael Cera is in it. Who would he play?

Down the road if Lynch was going to make a Special Edition of Twin Peaks a la George Lucas, what changes would he make or what enhancements would be done? Would the series finale instead of ending on Cooper looking in the mirror instead show shots of citizens celebrating at different locales around the Twin Peaks area with fireworks? Digitally reinsert Jacques the Hutt into the Pilot?

Good observation regarding the voice of BOB. Frank Silva was well-spoken wasn't he, which made BOB's deviant horror all the more frightening. If BOB had been a thug, an ill-mannered brute or scum of the earth low-class individual (sorry for sounding a little prejudiced here against people who are brutish!) he wouldn't have been as horrific. Like in the remake of LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, I'd imagine its just drunken, thuggish misfits being horrible to young women, raping or attacking them. That's just unpleasant, not scary...are you feeling me?
