How many Europeans have we got on this forum? Quite a few it seems. So who are the Europeans and where are you from? Maybe we can organize a European Twin Peaks get-together :)

I live in Istanbul, though I'm American.

ivalinda, we're neighbors. I'm not sure if you're from Sofia, but I really love Sofia and have traveled there several times. It's such a charming city. I've spent a lot of time walking up and down Vitosha Boulevard :)

I've never been to Varna but one of my best friends goes there every summer for vacation and says nothing but how wonderful and beautiful it is.  I've have traveled to the north coast of Turkey, however, and the Black Sea is indeed beautiful.

Well,I am also from this part of the worldCatalunia(Spain)And there are more members from this country here.

What a pity that we have no Lynch here in Europe! The idea of meeting seems to be interesting as the summer is coming and not all of us can afford to go to the USA for a festival(hope I will be able one day..)

The idea of a European fest existed... there used to be quite a lot of talk about it and two British members put some effort in looking for a proper place and so on... but it didn't work out after all.

Wow, ivalinda you're from Bulgaria? I'd never have thought , I was sure you're from the States or something... typical like that ;-)

I think it's a pity we don't have the option of writing where we are FROM next to the avatar as it used to be. It's useful information at least I find it useful.

Myself I'm from Warsaw, Poland. Ever since I remember there has been no other Polish member present here for a longer time.

So we're almost neighbours with you,too I know from my sister that Warsaw is a great city and very beautiful! She's been there several times. She studied polish philology (here in Bulgaria),when she was at univeristy:) Your language is similar to ours:)

Heh,unfortunately I'm not from the States!Sometimes I wish I was born there:) By the way I thought you were from there, too!I hope some day to attend a TP fest,in Europe or why not in the USA! That's my dream!:)

Oh, that's my greatest dream too (one of them at least), to attend the tp-fest in the states...i have no idea how to get the money, but someday i will!

I don't think i have the strength right now to be the one organizing a european-fest, otherwise i like to organize things, but now i just have too much to do, too many projects to organize...but i really hope someone do have the strength - it would be a blast!

I´m from Denmark, currently working in Bangkok as a social educator. But I´ll be back in August...

I´ve always thought that a fest in Norway or Iceland would be really cool and the most obvious place if we ever were to do such a thing.

You're right! Norway definitely have got the mountains, i went there for the first time two years ago, i had no idea it was soooo beatuiful in summer! I study scandinavian languages (in hope to make it available to teach in highschool) and this summer i'm doing four weeks in Reykjavík (Iceland)...and i just cannot wait!  I've always found Iceland the most twinpeakish country ever! *dreamy*

hrm...exept the trees though...

I'm from Britain, England to be exact.

On the second day he came
With a single red rose
Said "Will you give me your loss and your sorrow?"
I nodded my head as I lay on the bed
He said, "If I show you the roses will you follow?"

On the third day he took me to the river
He showed me the roses and we kissed
And the last thing I heard was a muttered word
As he stood smiling above me
With a rock in his fist

They call me the wild rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day

Hi Karmakaze. :)

I am one of afore mentioned two who pretty much self-appointed ourselves to organise a Eurofest last time we had this idea, but as BOB1 said it fell through.

We (meaning me and the co-organiser Fav) thought it a good idea to have it in London since this was pretty much the most accessible place, which seemed fine at first, but then people wanted to have it elsewhere.

One of the main reasons, unfortunately, was that many people came and seemed enthusiastic initially about having a  European TP get together, however, the more myself and the other lady who organised it actually GOT to booking cinemas, finding suitable venues, getting a rough idea of numbers as per the venues' request (also in the middle of it the cinema we had ORIGINALLY planned to use closed down, so we had to start all over again & get a different venue :( ) and keeping members informed here, interest diminshed rapidly.

Many went from "ooh I'd love to attend a Peaks get-together" to "hmm well now it looks like it might be happening I can't come then but I might be able to come then" and numerous PM's /emails etc with people not sure/dropping out, to the point where we pretty much didn't have enough interest, it caused several hurtful arguments among members and other things I don't see any need to go into here at this point.

If you wish to discuss it further or would like any help though, if you decide you do want to organise one feel free to PM me.

"watch out for my cousin.."

Wow! I didn't realize people wanted a full blown Euro TP festival.  In my original post I just meant a few of us getting together, hanging out for a couple days watching Twin Peaks and talking about it all night fueled by cups of hot black coffee :)

A festival sounds nice and all but i'm sure it would pale in comparison to the already amazing thing they have going on in Washington State.  I'm still determined to get there next year..
