I finally had the chance to have a copy of this experimental video starring Julee Cruise, Laura Dern, Nicolas Cage and Michael J. Anderson. I think the best quality of this thing is the music and the sounds. Great stuff. What do you guys think about it?!

I thought it was pretty good. A very crazy play/opera very beautiful at times. But, I wasn't a fan of the big Davil conjuring scene.

Just a couple questions: Where can I find it on VHS (or DVD... though I seriously doubt it)? Also how long is it?

The video is currently out of print, but you can find copies on eBay. There has not yet been a DVD of this film released.

Uhm.... I don't know if I can say this but: I found it on the NET and then I converted it into a DVD. It's great!

It has it's moments, but I've only been able to wach it a couple of times. "I'm Hurt Bad" (the jukebox song from the pilot in TP) with the skinned deer on stilits is the best part. Oh, and the bit with Cage and Dern in the beginning

Yeah, I'm kinda in the "Meh" camp on this one. It was cool the first time, and then I just got annoyed with each subsequent viewing. It's a novelty and that's about it.

I don't watch it often -- maybe six or seven times in total -- but every year or so I get a strong urge to see it, and nothing else will do. Luckily, my VHS copy, which was already second-hand when I got it (and from a movie rental store no less), is holding up decently and is still totally watchable.

All I want is an mp3 audio recording of I'M HURT BAD from the movie. DAMN IT....I can never find it, nor do I have the ability to download it and just get the audio.

That song rocks. There's just something about that whole scene in the diner...the sly/suspicious look on Norma's face...the music...the neon lighting near the cieling...nice.

Actually I created a thread for it specifically for you since you've requested me personally. But you didn't even thank me, so I removed evrything fromt the board and that's how it ended.

Although I do not watch it very often I adore Industrial Symphony N. 1. To see Julee Cruise literally Floating was a dream come true. The set design is truly daw dropping, what I would give to see this live does not bear thinking... Question, was the scene at the begining with Nic Cage and Laura Dern a cut scene from Wild at Heart or something specifically shot for this concert? Here is my 'homage' to the final scene in the symphony with the dolls on strings desending on the stage.

No, it seems the first Cage/Dern collaboration, just before knowing of getting together in Wild at heart's cast.

Cheers, it seems they were allready in character before the film, love 'em both. I know they went on a cross country road trip prior to shooting Wild at Heart to get in character, where laura Dern learned "How to smoke a good cigerette". Great signature line btw Mr S! Rockin' good peanut!

For the record, I wanted to say that I was completely unaware that you did this, until after you removed it. I mentioned that I wanted IM HURT BAD once, then I didn't check back for a while. I would have thanked you had I known you did it....but I didn't know about it until you removed the link. I wrote you a PM about this, but I didn't recieve a response. So I just wanted you to know that I DO appreciate it...even though I didn't get to check it out. Thanks anyway.
