Yesterday i met with Universal Pictures who are interested in helping us in this quest and think its a great idea as it could also help boost their UK DVD sales. They have offered some amazing contacts and help! So the next step is securing the rights to screen selected episodes and the film. The rights to the series could turn out to be way over budget but we are working on that! We do have two back up plans both of which Universal think are great ideas but I'll let you know that once we know for sure about the TV rights. We are looking at November for this event to tie in with Universals marketing campaign of the DVDs. Exact dates and venue are to be confirmed but of course I will let you all know. Incidentally what exactly do you mean by 'tie in with Universal's marketing campaign of the DVDs'? Is this an ongoing one for the Gold Set/season 2? Or is there a new relase on the horizon? I ask as I thought the campaign had finished by now.

Hey Lins....thanks for the update, it all sounds great. Just one question re: Facebook Is it imperative that 'one' has to join facebook and then sign-up for your page...in order for 'one' to attend this bash? I ask because I really have no time for facebook and I have no interest in signing up for any of their services etc. So is it a case of 'no facebook' then 'no chance of attending' or will there be other options? Just curious.

No no you certainly dont have to join the facebook page to come along as i will post all the news here too. At present you guys know more than the facebook group as someone in the group is trying to steal the idea and pass onto people so thats why im being secretive about a few things. Regarding Universal, as far as im aware there is no new DVD being released. Lins xx

Hi Folks Soo......keep November 27th free! And be in London!! Near Hammersmith!!! And be prepared to spend a good few hours (like 10 or 11) in the company of each other!!!!
