Dude...are you guys gonna be able to come this year?

You are both SO missed!  You need to come and bring the bambino!  Jordan and Superducky and their super-egg!

Last year was awesome, and we had SO much fun just joking around and it was mentioned by many of us regular attenddees how cool it would be to see Jordan and Kelly come back to have some fun!  In the past few years, there have been some cool new people who have attended, and you would sure enjoy meeting them.  They already got 3 celebs.......lets hope this year is a huge turnout for new people, too!

Thanks for the ego boost, but I doubt we're THAT missed. LOL.

Sadly, I don't think we'll be able to make it this year. Our anniversary is that weekend, and we will be going out of town to MD to the beach. It's been a long time since I've been "home", and want to see the changes and have some MUCH needed relaxation and watch the kiddos at the beach for the first time. :)

It will be awesome as ever and being that this is the 20th year, I'm sure it's going to be a big ol' party. Enjoy yourselves!!

Well, Kelly, if Caleb wants to come and stay with his Auntie Sue and Uncle Dave, we'll show him around the fest!

I just started getting into Twin Peaks in the last couple of years.  I really want to go to the fest this year.  I started looking at hotels in the North Bend area and I would like some advice on where to stay.  The hotels in North Bend look pretty sketchy and they got mostly bad reviews.  Mt. Si Motel and Sunset Motel look like they might be okay and they are cheap.  Has anyone stayed at either place?

Any suggestions of where to stay that is close to the fest, clean, and affordable?  Thanks!

Probably the bulk of your questions can be answered at the twin peaks board as most of the peakers who talk about the fest go there to chat.

However, Edgewick is the popular hotel of choice at the festival. You do have a few who do stay Sunset Motel and Mt. Si. I stayed at the Edgewick for a couple of days, and it had nice rooms.

I haven't been to the fest since we stopped organizing it, so I'm not sure if there are venue changes or not, but most everything (at the time) were driving distance. Your best bet is to really stay at Edgewick and get a ride from people. You'll meet a lot of people at the fest and people are very awesome about giving people rides to the different venues.

Hope this helps a bit. If not, check out the festival board on the twinpeaksfest.com :)

Jen Lynch has agreed to join the Fest this year! If you've not met Jen before, she's a WONDERFUL person. You will absolutely love her.

If I could go, I would gladly tell the lady how much her early book still impresses me, perhaps now more than it has ever done :-)

It'd be great to go one day.

I just rewatched Richard Beymer's fantastic festival video compilation of his three trips to the event.  If you've never seen it, you'll love it.  Worth a second glance if you've seen it before.  Sigh.  Lots of memories.

You're welcome!

She had such a fun time at Chiller Theater meeting her fans and I'm glad I was able to sell her on the Festival. It wasn't hard- and she is amped that Jen will be there, too.

Third time is a charm, I believe :)

You will all adore her even more, and her little boy, too.

Well, lovely! But is she gonna be added as an official guest, or will it be a "we're not announcing this & we'll reimburse her for her  ticket WHEN she arrives" thing? I actually believe she had work commitments that caused her 2 previous cancellations, BUT also understood organizer reticence... that said, apparently ticket sales are already well above what they've been for nearly a decade! Healthy!!

Because of the ticket sales, before she was even announced (yes, it is official, there were just i's to dot and t's to cross today, is why we were able to invite her and her family.

Then when Robert Engels backed out, it was the combination of perfect circumstances at once. None of us thought it would actually be possible for a while, and Sherilyn was bummed about that.

There were also generous donations made through the Twin Peaks Fest Web site by parties interested in supporting the cause- THANK YOU, guys!!!

As for the previous years, it's hard when you have kids of certain ages to get away sometimes. This year should be all systems go!

For the record, Robert Engels did not "back out." He never committed to the festival, only saying that he would check his schedule and see what he could do. When he found that he could not make his schedule work, he politely declined our invitation. Which is far more consideration that some celebrities have given us in the past.

Wait, what it sounds like here is that her previous no shows were caused by childcare issues & NOT the work conflicts, as offered before... what's the REAL story here?

To be frank, we will never know the honest truth. The first time she backed out, we were told it was due to a last-minute production schedule conflict. The second time, we were given zero explanation; it was just a no-show.

If there's a different song being sung now, it's pure news to me. And I'm taking all of it with a very very VERY large grain of salt, chased by a tall tequila-heavy margarita of course. When the festival has been forced to eat $1500 in costs for the same celeb two years in a row, skepticism over any flippant explanation of past behavior is definitely warranted.

It's a risk when you book an actor for any fan-oriented weekend.

Communication breakdown and mistakes happen, too, in a world of possibilities, I suppose something could keep her from the weekend yet again. I'm not excusing the past, at all. Just saying it's a new year and the stars seem to be aligned for it to happen.

edit:

Well, damn.
