...started a new thread, yo

...hope everyone has had a fantastic holiday season

...still refuse to refer to my Christmas tree as a "holiday tree", BTW

...'m just putting that out there right now

...ate asparagus last night for dinner and am patiently awaiting the inevitable

...am sad to report that the temp roomie who was crashing on my sofa at the beginning of last year is STILL ON MY SOFA

...think at this point I'm just going to move out to save us all the trouble

...am actually dating someone I would admit to in public and may very well introduce to my family in the near future

...think that's the first time in a number of years that that's happened

...finally had the horse sense to be more selective about who I date

...have a goal to lose 60lbs by the time I graduate in June

...want to invite everyone to my graduation party...there'll be fancy-schmancy cake and a number of kegs

...am an excellent host :D

...have rambled on. Uh. Sorry?

...very much enjoyed Amanda's ramblings and can't wait to meet Mr. Right in July!

...have only just begun the Christmas deconstruction though trash day is tomorrow and the tree really needs to be emptied of a gazquillion ornaments and lights.

...am happy it's a new year!

...am grateful to have said goodbye to '09!!!!

...want to know Amanda's secret to the weight loss.

...wonder if it has anything to do with that fad diet where you have to eat less and move more.

...think that's very difficult but maybe it's a good plan.

...am buying silver thread today so that I can embroider shiny stars on a black felt field.

......am glad you guys are having a good 2010.

.........think all is going well in my new year too so far and wish the same for everyone else!

.....am going back home to Missoula - (whoops I mean my University flat!) this Friday. :)

....start new term on Monday. can't be bothered and just want to stay off and rest tbh, but

.....know it's time to leave.. :(

.still have about 3 assignments to do (2 counselling, one Psychology) and a task to do about Heliosphere something or other that I don't even really understand before I get back *gulp!*

........it's reeeally cold and deep in snow up here.  Just put Basil out to see what he thought of the snow and it was so deep he tried to acclimtise himself to it then put his paws out and just kind of gingerly sank into the snow!!!

...so we had to pick him up (he kind of softly sank in all the way to his little belly!!) and brought him back into the warm house where he protested by oinking and calmed him with tea. :)

......is just ecstatic about the fact they're releasing series 2 over here!

...know I already mentioned it but just can't stop getting excited

.....ve been waiting since 2001 its about bloody time!! :D

...am really pleased for Manda that she has a decent bloke in her life

...can't be bothered to look for a fella at the moment, although having said that

...wouldn't mind a shag.  Or even just a decent snog.

...would very much like all this snow to go away now, kthx bai.

...realized tonight that it is absurd that I am so dependent on my right hand and that

...want to make the left stronger, more balanced with the right.

...was much clumsier cutting my post-dinner shift-snack with the my left hand.

...can actually feel the extra strain in my right shoulder so

...........is getting all misty eyed just thinking of baby Ditte :)

........have a close friend who's due soon and another friend who had a baby girl just last month.

........think there seems to be a lot of baby fever in the air this year! :D

.........take care of yourself.

.......had a spooky dream nighbt before last that Frank Silva was following me all over the town I grew up in and trying to send me a message.

.....it was rather spooky, needless to say

...didn't sleep very well!

.......'m gonna have a shower, early night and get some revision.

.......was just enjoying my chinese takeout in my room when someone knocked on my door..

.....went and opened it and nobody was there!  Not a note or anything..

.........hope it's not anyone else haunting me although

.....have no idea how a ghost could knock on a door.

Either that or one of my flatmates wanted to talk to me then changed their mind and went to look for someone less puzzling (makes more sense! :D)

....is hoping if it WAS one of my flatmates it's hot guy from down the hall..

..know that's asking a bit much lol.

... have no hot neighbors. Jealous. My neighbors are trashy and don't clean up after their dogs.

Speaking of cleaning,

... bought myself an early Valentine's present- a Roomba.

...t's not the red Roomba, the vacuum of the Black Lodge, like the one Booth posted. But ...t will suck up my pain and sorrow by relieving me of a hated house chore.

... bring you greetings from the fabled land of no internet connectivity.

... am back in Chickenville for our traditional Burns Night get together, which will take place Saturday.

... am looking forward to the Haggis which gets a little more authentic every year.

... am still unemployed and have run trough my bennies but have faith that things will work out.

... don't know why I have that faith but that's faith for you.

... have been out pulling Scot's Broom, a class B noxious weed here in King county.

... have been using a tool called a 'Weed Wrench' which is joy to work with; effective, low tech and extremely robust.  Highly recommended if you need to pull a bunch of Broom or whatever.

... hope this finds you all happy and healthy.

... guess we are at 100% authenticity as the lights (lungs) are sitting on the stove now with the windpipe hanging over into a bowl to catch the goo that was cooked out of them and the wee sheep's stomach was thawing in the bathroom sink last night.

... finally found employment after looking for a year.

... am working with my friend who has her own law firm and HR consulting firm.

...'m extremely happy about this and glad to be back in the Twin Cities.

... too have a goal of losing more weight this year.

... have been going to the gym and have actually lost a bit of weight since I moved back.

... find that being happy and content with life helps with the weight loss process....that and eating more fresh fruits and veggies and less animal products.

... think its time for bed...

... need to get up a bit early tomorrow...

... am making a huge lasagne with vegetables and lots of meat!
... am tired of people telling me that I shouldn't eat so much meat, but
... need my meat to get strong and awesome so that
... can succeed at the entrance examination and get into police school!

... would actually rather be a rockstar, but my parents tell me that's not a real job so

...ew that sounds icky Ditte..Marinated Lamb with soy AND Lemon?!

.....thinks is must be a pregnancy thing hehe. :)

.........hopes everyone is well.

.....spent my birthday until 3rd February in hospital with exhaustion. :(

...kind of got taken in against my will.

.am now feeling slightly better, not fantastic but okay, less shattered.

.....am glad I got out in time to compete in British University Regional Trampoling Finals

.......came 17th! :D

.may sound crap but it was better than I expected actually.

....can't believe I STILL forgot to bring my Peaks S1 DVD's to watch on my laptop while I'm here since

...don't have a t.v in my flat yet so I just watch stuff on DVD's.

...NEED to get caught up on Uni work so bad, luckily most of my lecturers and teachers have been understanding,

.got rly down and explained to my professor that I didn't wanna be held back a year because of this setback but she said that wouldn't happen.

.....so I now have tons of lecture notes and about FIVE assignments to do to catch up!

......am just hoping I'll get extensions b/c I will stay back and work harder but not gonna push myself too hard again now as I learned my lesson from being in hospital.

...t'was a rather spooky place they didn't even provide me with toothpaste! Ick.

.........am beginning to get rather irked by their continous phonecalls also.  (The nurses)  As if I don't have enough to do.

....feel like I'm being stalked.  If they don't get off my back I might consider taking legal action, not that I want to.

...had an awesome long weekend away with Eric -- was our 12th wedding anniversary on Saturday.  We went up North where we got married--visited family and friends, played poker, went hiking on some frozen waterfalls...was great. :D

...got him a new North Face jacket and a full color disc *for disc golf*...he got me the new Doctor Who specials box set and a celtic knot necklace that he picked out in this sweet little celtic shop we went to.

...t's gorgeous--silver knot on a very pretty rope chain. And

...t comes all the way from Ireland! That shop was wicked cool--someday I will make it to Ireland...Scotland...England.

...t will happen. :)

...hope everyone is well. XXXX

........aren't there any pregnancy techniques/foods you can eat/drinks you can drink etc to help baby leave the comfort of your womb?

......are they planning to induce you?

.......hope you and Lars and baby are all ok anyway and will be thinking of/praying for a safe delivery.

......is feeling like crap.

......has been off Uni again today with horrible cold/sore throat.

.....am worried I may be getting flu. (even though I HAVE been vaccinated not long ago against both ordinary flu and swine flu).

.....hopes to the Gods nobody I know gets it, but there does seem to be an outbreak of winter bugs in my area at the moment, the dinner lady had the same thing I do yesterday so maybe I caught it off her!

.....am freezing in my flat.

..gonna hed back to civilisation tomorrow and see how my little bunnies are. :)

...hope all are well.

.........wishing a happy birthday to MSA have a good one!

......is gonna get into bed with a cup of tea/horlicks/hot chocolate (since I have no lemsip and the nearest shops here are like 30 minutes walk and when you this bunged up with cold you don't feel like walking it.) and read some more Adrian Mole.  Brilliant Diary exploits of Adrian, starting when he was 13 and continuing until now when he's in his 50's, really well known over here, a British classic!  (I borrowed them from a male friend but didn't think I'd enjoy them so much but omg they are so funny!)

....Am up to Cappucino years atm but you have to start with "aged 13 3/4 until the lastest one "The Prostrate Years" which I still haven't read yet but would well recommend them all. :) (For an insight into the mediocre/average teenage British boy if nothing else. :))

....em ok, I better go I'm starting to sound like a bit of a gimp.

'm coming to you from the old folks home here in Ft. Collins, CO.   My dad just got out of two months of post fall rehab a week ago and as I am still unemployed it seemed like a good idea to come and help him get settled back here in his home, especially since he bought.

... am not having a horrible time.  The folk here are pretty nice for the most part, the food isn't bad but...

... am getting a little tired of polite chit chat so if you will pardon me; FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK.  Whew, thanks...

...feel much better.

...kid.  It's pretty hard to see the old man dealing with all his various ills (Parkinsons is at the top of a fairly long list) but it is good to see that he live in a place where the staff and his fellow inmates obvioulsy care quite a bit for him and look out for his well being and he is actually doing fairly well all things considered.  The only thing he has really needed me for is moral support and to deal with his med which are confusing as hell.  In theory a machine (Med Minder I think it is called) will be taking over after I leave on Wednesday.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

...of to central Illinois after this to pay a visit on my mother who had a slip and hit her head a while back, or possibly had something go wrong with her head which caused her to fall and hit it.  The picture remains unclear in mine (head that is) which is one of the things I hope to get straight while I'm there.

...hope you are all feeling well and are reasonably happy.
