.........they are coming to MY UNI!! (yes rly!!) in a specially themed Tardis tourbus AND screening Episode One of the new series! 

.....know they're covering 5 cities in all, us 3rd and will be there on the afternoon

...am just gobsmacked.  Like Dr. Who is HUGE in the U.K and according to my uni website they rly seem to care about getting to places (LIKE Sunderland) that never get any attention.

........also wanted to ask, since I'm going, would any of my friends who also like the show like me to try get autographs for them if they can't get there and I'll try?

.......feels so exciting it's unreal. Like I'm living in another city or something. Or having a dream I still haven't woken up from yet.

....on the other hand feels like I'm getting a nice reward for working my ass off since September lol.

... made it back to the PNW and felt an intense relief as we went up and over the Cascade crest.

 ... love my family but shudder every time they talk about me moving back east.

 ... spent the morning rototilling my friends garden and am now tending the pigs head and feet (Mmmmm.... Head Cheese) while the chef makes a town run.  Country visits are always so very interesting.

......stopped watching when we had to take Buffy in to the vets

...........am worried about her, she has a nasty lump around right shoulder area and has to have an op to have it removed first thing tomorrow morn. :(

.........any thoughts/prayers on her behalf would be much appreciated.

......know the vet said to expect a big dressing and a few bald patches but am more concerned that surgery all goes well on her at the moment, she's a very nervous little doe. :(

....FINALLY got my debit card too so this is why I'm happy about a lot of Peaks related stuff, am excited to be buying the book and can look for stuff on e-bay/amazon.  

.....want to start bidding for stuff on e-bay, but would rather wait until I'm living elsewhere - my flat is great but the mail doesn't always reach me here and since my tenancy runs out in less than a month (even though my new man - (remember "hot guy down the hall?! )is here till Sept. I'm on a shorter contract than he is so we don't know how we're gonna cope being apart for 3 months!

....anyway the point is I'd feel happier/safer if it got posted elsewhere.

..........just finished my exams last week (Biological and Developmental Psychology!) quite hard but since it was multiple choice wasn't too bad! so am now on summer hols from Uni until September-ish.

...am curious as to where the summer has gone?

...'ll not complain for now as at least it's better than triple digit heat, right?

'm back to the country, chicken sitting again or poultry sitting to be precise as there are turkeys and ducks involved this time.

 ... was served a snack food product the other day, Golden Sweet Corn from Regent Foods of the Philippines, which is made largely of corn and is purported to taste like corn but which to me really tastes like Creamed Corn.  So if anyone has been searching for a neater form of Garmonbozia for ease of transport you may want to check it out.  Available, I believe,  at Uwajimaya in the fabulous and exciting International district of Seattle.  Don't blame me for any soul damage, from the Golden Sweet Garmonbozia not from the International district or Uwajimaya for that matter.

 ...have developed a great interest in the comic strip 9 Chickweed Lane of late.  I find it interesting, humorous and educational.  I don't ever remember a strip that has sent me searching for definitions more often than this one.

 ... have developed a crush on both Juliette and Edda from the strip.  Beautiful, intelligent, self-possessed and quirky.  What's not to like?

 ... mean sure they're not real but what does reality have to do with crushes anyway?  Regardless if they are directed at movie stars or the G. or B. from next d we have crushes on not real beings but on mythicized images of them we hold in that star field of illusions we think of as our minds.  Crushes on people in our everyday lives have the advantage of containing the potential for actual fulfillment with the attendant disillusionment and potential for screwing up a perfectly good or at least acceptably civil relationship with a friend, co-worker or parole officer.  Crushes held on real but remote people also have a potential for being realized but that potential lies somewhere on the slim side of a lottery ticket. The once a week, payoff in the seven figures and up kind of lottery ticket not the one in five is a winner, scratch off on the side of a liquor store kind.  In fact the best possible outcome for a nobody somebody relationship is to become a stalker which is a kind of relationship but has many draw backs.  If these don't occur to anyone contemplating entering into the pursuit of a someone I would advise contacting an at least semi objective consultant for advice.  Anyway ...

 ... am perfectly happy with my completely unrealistic crushes of the moment.

 ... hope you find yourself in a similar position regards your crushes or other significant and insignificant romances, friendships or whatnot of the moment.

...have exactly 7 days until I find out if I'm laid off or still employed

...'m at a point of just emotional exhaustion over this and can't wait for it to just be over, regardless of the outcome

...think I'm ready to be laid off and possibly start a whole new chapter of my life

...'d like to move in with my boyfriend finally and maybe just focus on grad school and be a "housewife" for a bit

...will be drinking myself into a stupor next Monday night no matter what the news is

...think end of summer is the perfect time for Amanda to begin a new season in her life. That's goin' round, for sure!

 ... did not meet Scabtree, and barely said hello to anyone new in this epic 20th!

... did have an exhilarating time assisting Sherilyn Fenn again. She is just a true lady in every sense of the word.

... have been touched to see the outpouring on FB of first timers completely blown away by their experiences, seeing their pictures, and milking the weekend for all the juicy TP goodness there was for the taking.

... am even glad I got stuck in North Bend another night. 

...was bummed we couldn't go back this year--really thought it was going to finally happen.  I was even saying to Eric, "We still have time..." the first week of July.  Quite similar to me on the DVD, "Can we go? Please? Please? Please?"  Scabs!  You made it to the fest!  WOO! :D  Dang--would have loved to have finally met you!  Someday! :)

...hope everyone is doing well, and that those that went to the fest are not suffering post-fest depression too badly.

...am already gearing up for 2011 Fest planning...dear god help me

...ended up with a job after all, and have been in my new position for about a month

...like my new boss...his name is Rex...how can I not?

...'m heading to SoCal for five days

...plan on hitting Knott's Scary Farm over the weekend and probably Disneyland too if only to see the Haunted Mansion in all its Tim Burton glory

...am looking forward to the day The Boyfriend moves up here (should be sometime in mid-2011) so I can stop spending money on plane tickets...grrrr...
