it never got released? that's sad. i feel bad for him, he seemed like a very nice man. then again maybe the sales figures would've been even more depressing.

and thanks for the thought, i'm sad i never got the chance to post scans and laugh about them

Oh he's a total sweetheart. I remember being super nervous to finally meet him at the fest because he himself was so nervous about meeting the fans. And then he ended up being like just your average joe (oh who am I kidding? most of the fest celebs are that way!) and it was all gravy. IIRC, there were problems with the publishing...a deal fell through or something along that line. It sounds like he gave up on pursuing it after a while.

This actually sounds a little sad. Don't give up on your dreams, James.

there was a point when were were talking about his kid and his career and he was like "things are slow, but cream always rises to the top, right?" and it was just kind of sad. i can't imagine going from being as successful as he was to as successful as he is. i mean, there's no shame in it, hollywood is a crazy place, i just feel bad for the guy. i hope he's right and gets some nicer roles

That's a bit of the curse of television, if you're not established before doing a tv show, it will be more difficult to get something bigger than roles in straight to video or television movies.

Someone videotaped Strobel and Silva catching up at the 92 thing. (Wonder if they thought it was rude?)

Actually that's from the '93 fest. It's from a semi-pro fest film called 'Dinner and Conversation From Another Place'. There is some incredible footage of Frank Silva on there. The DVD will be available on our site in a few weeks.

We've shown that DVD several years in a row at the fest. Always a fan fave.
