Yeah... We'll never see Wise, Lynch, or Lee at a Twin Peaks fete again.  Oh well!  Memories, wish I'd been there...

This vid was courtesy of Twin Peaks Archive on myspace this morning.

So is that really the first fest? Where any of you there? Did you enjoy Ray Wise's mullet?

No, actually that wasn't the first fest. It was a big shindig for the premiere of FWWM in the US. The festival didn't actually start until 1993 when fans Don and Pat Shook started one up; however, the film premiere is what gave them the idea to start a festival, so. Yeah. But when doing the actual count of number of festivals, we always start with 1993. That was the first actual festival. Which means this year is the 17th annual TP Fest. :)

The sad part about watching old video like this is when you realize that most of the people are probably dead by now.

'92 was dubbed the Twin Peaks Festival (it was in conjunction with the local Alpine Blossom Days, & there were thousands of folks about), but it wasn't in it's current fan-based sponsorship until '93. I was there I even have news footage of me to prove it!), but didn't do any of the paid events, hang out with the stars, or see the film. But I WAS there, DAMN IT!!!

Actually, for historical accuracy Booth is a WWI vet.

How many children have been conceived at the fest, and were they planned?

Just to give credit where it's due, I was tipped off about this video by Dugpa earlier.

This is a great discovery. At first, I was sure this was just going to be a re-post of the old Bruce Phillips video of the event. However, it's not. I've heard back from the person or persons who shot it and in fact, except for the music overdub, it's uncut and edited on the fly. Not too bad.

By the way, the people who run the Fest site may want to take down the link to Bruce's TP Collectible site as it's been down over a year ;)

I looked it up, and it said she met her former husband at one of the festivals, lol.

if i recall, she married a fan who was much younger than her.

there used to be a beautiful photoshop of kimmy holding a baby, and the baby's face was her husband's. i think it was taken away for being offensive.

i mean, it was long after they worked together, who knows if any of them even keep in touch?

I'm pretty sure they heard about it, and I would pay to see the looks of shock on their faces. I don't know I'm weird.

Hey Mace, you know what you should do?

I didn't want to do it myself.

I know what I should do... but that picture is on my old hard drive which died about three years ago.

I actually found it when I was looking through my photoshops, but I'm not going to post it since it's very offensive.

potentially very offensive. there's no actual recorded evidence that kimmy robertson is 100% without a sense of humor

there was also a moritorium on "james" jokes once it was made known that james marshall was going to that year's fest and was a little sensitive if i remember correctly

ps baby nay nay lol

I'm still bummed that that book never got released. I don't know if I ever told you, but I'd ordered it as a gag gift for your birthday that year since you delighted in riffing on it every now and then. :)
