This is an assumption, but I get the feeling she is a whackjob offscreen.

If she's hard up, she can get free food and lodging at the Fest next year and as a bonus a "ride" from me, Nails Three Pointer

She was going to pay her taxes on two different occasions, but ended up busy at the very last minute.  Screw you, IRS. Washed up 90's sex symbols can do that, you know.

She was one of the next "It" actresses when TP came out.  I wonder where her career went wrong.

She obviously wasn't penny-wise enough.

Sherilyn, Sherilyn. Jeez girl, you have to make the bucks and just as important you have to hold on to them (but, just not the tax man's cut). On the TP Festival front, would she get a small stipend (cash) to appear, or just transportation and food? Doesn't sound like she is 'too busy' with other projects these days. Well, unless you count a conference engagement with the IRS.

Funny how life can change on you. Artists, actors, creative types too often get tripped up by mundane day to day stuff. And/or they get lousy managers and accountants who are parasites.

Looks like her trouble began at the age of 35.  The magic year for Hollywood actresses.  Few survive the onslaught of 35 years of life.  Beware Olson Twins!

Do those two even have an "acting" career anymore? Other than as the leads in a The Dark Crystal remake, I mean.

In a roundabout way, if you believe the rumors, you could be right. Can we blame Lara for Kyle's career petering out, too?

If you look her up on IMDB you can see she's still pretty active onscreen.

If we're still talking Sherilynn Fenn, then check out the specifics of her activity.  Scenesters has this on their website:

The TV roles were not likely to have been large earning opportunities either.

Outside of a handful of actors, hardly anyone in SAG makes even a five-digit (before the decimal point) annual income.  It's very sad.

the way i've heard the hollywood system described is that your average actor/cog doesn't really make more than most of us, they just happen to have their face on the tv

I will only remember Sherilyn for her Oscar winning turn as Lulu Hogg in the prequel film Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning.  Straight to DVD, b*tch!

I bet she cries at night before she falls asleep. If she commits suicide wouldn't it be cool if she wrapped herself in plastic fist. I know that's wrong.
