From Dugpa.com

Nike to Honor Twin Peaks

In one of the strangest but very cool stories I have heard this year, Nike shoes will be honoring Twin Peaks in one of their latest shoe designs coming out in 2009. Reported over at Nice Kicks.com, and Sneaker Files.com, Nike SB Dunk High Premium - “Twin Peaks” will hit select retailers in Spring 2009. Thanks to Nic8771 for the news!

Anybody getting these?

EDIT- there are pics of the shoes on Dugpa's website as well

That is, hands down, the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Could they not honor Twin Peaks in a slightly less hideous way?

I will not be spending a red penny on these, but I bet the house there are some TP nuts out there (emphasis on nuts) that will.

Don't get me wrong...any remembrance of TP is golden in my book. But. Wow. Those shoes are just ugly. I like the zig-zag pattern on the soles (though this will start the whole "black-n-white vs tan-n-brown" debate all over again if we're not careful). The color and stitching on the shoes themselves is meh at best. That blue owl? Fucking hideous. You can barely even tell it's an owl. Overall...C for effort, F for execution. Nike needs to leave TP to the people who know it best. (Hint: not them)

They are catering to the enormous "TP ballers with mad skillz" crowd.

Holy balls. The blue owl...I just...<goes cross-eyed>>

The zig-zag on the bottom is cool, though. I don't know--since that's the bottom, the shoes would have looked neat red--with zig-zag laces! LOL Maybe that would have been too much...

Trying to make ugly things look cool is one of my hobbies!  I don't care for running shoes, and I couldn't care less about Nike -- in fact, I avoid wearing logos of any sort.  But I will buy these as soon as I can, and wear them to death.

Sorry, but these shoes will fall apart way before then. Then some people will argue that tattered shoes are better than no shoes at all...

Do you think, if you were running in space with your Twin Peaks shoes, you would slow down, or go faster and faster?

Two questions: 1) Do they make them for broads? 2) Are they less than $75?

If yes to both, I would buy a pair to run/work out in. (Shoot me if I wear them in public though. Unless, of course, I'm drunk at the TP Fest in nothing else but my undies. I'll streak down North Bend Way, all the way from the Blue Diamond to the RR.)  Tacky is okay with me... and it's something I've never seen before.

Mens delivered by UPS from Caliroots.com in Sweden for $162 US. Visa,M/C, Amex cc. (About $129 plus shipping.) Didn't notice any for 'broads', as Frank Sinatra would have said, but US sizes start at 5.??

I would buy them locally for up to $75 myself.

Are you serious?! $129 for THAT?! They're going to have a whole shitload of leftover ugly shoes in their warehouse at the end of the 2009.

If these sell like hotcakes, the next product rollin' off the line will be Twin Peaks Rims.
