Right?

I'm with SK on this. Giospurs should really have added a post to an existing thread rather than adding a new thread specifically to say there was nothing new. By all means add to what already exists but I think long-time members get bored easily.
...and, yes, I came to this thread precisely to vent my spleen, knowing full well that there was no news on this subject.

I know your pain Montana.
When it comes to the deleted scenes I feel like the embodiment of battered, jaded, world-weary experience ( ) but I can't resist reading threads about the deleted scenes, even though I'm know nobody ever has anything new to add. Telling me not to read them would be like telling me not to breathe. I think these threads exist so people can vent their spleens and where's the harm in that?
The weird thing about Twin Peaks on the internet is, unless people have been fans since it aired, they seldom have any appreciation of how novel it is just to be able to discuss things like deleted scenes, DVD releases etc. with other fans. I don't think it's something I'll ever take for granted. I can see a clear divide between the first wave of Twin Peaks fans and the (post DVD) second wave and that's where the real tension arises. Newer fans tend to be indifferent to the deleted scenes because there's still so much for them to discover (the series, the film, the books, Wrapped In Plastic and the mythology for want of a better word). Older fans are tired of discussions about the script, the Blue Rose, Sheryl Lee's hairpiece ( ). I don't read posts about any of those things now and I certainly wouldn't post comments but I appreciate that (with the exception of the hairpiece which I never cared about) they used to matter to me and they are still important to people. There's a lot of 'do this' and 'do that' on the internet. As long as comments are respectful people can read and write pretty much anything and it doesn't cause offence. When people respond aggressively to my posts it's sometimes because my point was clumsily made, sometimes because they didn't get my sense of humour and sometimes because they're aggressive people. I've had some insane responses to my posts in the past and most of them made me belly laugh. I think dissent can be a good thing, even if it's directed at me. I've enjoyed reading all the comments in this thread even if they haven't added anything new. Sorry if I've strayed off the subject.
I ran from the noise and the silence, from the traffic on the streets

I've never read the shooting script. Can I get a link?
When the Tacoma Sperm Bank was looking for donors, naturally I applied. It's my civic duty and I like whales. A routine physical examination revealed that I'm sterile. Sure I thought it meant that I didn't have to take a bath, but the doctors told me the truth. They told me I can't have babies. So what I wanna know now is why are you having one and how?

The thing that is so deflating to me about the Deleted Scenes is this - why can't we have the Deleted Scenes to a movie that is a cult classic, yet on the DVD market out there you can purchase just about every Super Special Extended Edition of movies like Free Willy 3 or Kangaroo Jack? I just don't get it. Our society has ZERO taste.
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this." -Dale Cooper
