Hi!  I thought I would throw this out there..... what is your favorite song from the new season 2 cd?  I can't believe this CD actually got made, 17 years after the show was first aired.  It gives me hope that although Lynch claims the series is "dead as a doornail", there are many, many people who are still visiting this dreamy place!

To answer my own question, my favorite track is #17, "Hook Rug Dance".  I fell in love with that song the minute it was played in the background of the scene where Jerry visits Ben in jail and they reminisce about having bunk beds and a girl (their babysitter, probably?) dancing on the hook rug with a flashlight.  I used to play that scene over and over just to hear the music.  Then when it would pop up later in the series, I would always exclaim, "There it is!!!"  :)  It is such a romantic, heartbreaking piece.  I'm so glad I have it on a CD to play whenever I want.

Another thing that comes to my mind.... That atmospheric music that is in the scene of the beginning of seson 2 when cooper is lying on the floor shot in the stomach and the demented waiter/giant comes. That music and that scene is so strange and one of my favorites..... but the music in that scene  is not on the soundtrack, am i not right in that?

I like Louise Dambrovski theme too. The scene with Ben and Jerry in the jail including the music and Louse dance is one of the best combination between music and scene in the film. Than we meet this music in the scene when Cooper and Annie talk and fall in love in RR diner and in the scene with Norma, Ed and Nadin when Nadin said: " Hey, guys, I know about you....":). I think this theme is about the nice and beautifull things that's happening to the people in the film.

I love Audrey's Prayer. It's the piece of music I most associate with season two.

It sounds petty but the Music and More CD feels incomplete without the piano version of Laura Palmer's Theme. I'd be happy to swap it for Love Theme Intro or Love Theme Farewell, Cop Beat or Harold's Theme.

3.audrey's prayer/shelly-both are close for me, and as pointed out before, they are sad, and beautiful, and not without a little hope, even more perfect

5.you and i- yes i like it. and not just to annoy others. im sorry, but i just cant see the cheesy-ness. sure, its weird they're recording a song in the hayward front room, and there are no bass and drums present physically. but who cares? i love it. and that is james marshalls real voice, not sped up. AlSO, i too was pleasently surprised to see LFB and sheryl lee did the backup singing. why the majority of you hate this song i just cant fathom.

 sorry if i wasnt clear, but i wasnt refering to you, save for mentioning the non-sped up part.
"just you" has been a polarizing song in almost every opinion i have read(here and otherwise) long before being commercially available. its either loved, or REALLY REALLY hated. therefore, it is much maligned by its detractors, and treaded upon lightly by its supporters, as it seems there are very few of us. that was what i was talking about. not you. youre aces in my book.
