One could argue that if a band samples Twin Peaks, the song is about Twin Peaks. Here are a few out of many http://rateyourmusic.com/list/WhiteBlur2/albums_containing_twin_peaks_samples/

Anthrax - Now its Dark and Black Lodge (Angelo assisted on the arrangement). The Im the Man (1991 Remix) has samples of Blue Velvet "I can hear your radio, you stupid shit" Frank Silva is in the video of "Only"
"The only thing that Columbus discovered was that he was lost"

And the most well known of all, at least back in the day, was Moby "Go" (based on Laura's theme)

Saw a disc yesterday by a band named Garmonbozia. There seemed no obvious other Lynchian references. Listened to a bit. Moody, kinda nice cello, then the deal breaker: the electric cattle prod up the butt "vocals". I resisted the urge to purchase. Anyone else have any experience with this band?

Nope. But it appears that there's an album called Garmonbozia on amazon (by Ensembles Nimbus, that's described as being like "a tighter King Crimson" *snickers*) and I'm pretty sure Supertramp wrote a song called "Garmonbozia." EDIT: Sorry, that band was Superdrag. Ever wonder if bands do that on purpose?

Actually, I think Supertramp WAS a super drag, but that's just me... Google magic tells me that there are/were 2 Garmonbozia bands. The one who recorded the album I heard some of has disbanded (awww...) & a current not yet recorded unrelated unit. I guess there can only be one....

There is a grunge/rock band from Norway called Audrey Horne. One of their albums are called "no hay banda". I dont know if there is more elements from TP or lynch from them. I think they suck, thats my opinion.
This is a sentence and you are reading it now.

Pop Will Eat Itself did several songs inspired by Twin Peaks and other David Lynch films. "I was a Teenage Granddad" has a bassline very similar to Dance of the Dream Man. There was another song called "Harry Dean Stanton", although musically it wasn't much like anything in Twin Peaks. Also, they did a song (called "Pretty, Pretty") full of references to Blue Velvet and Frank Booth, including "Candy-coloured clown they call the sandman/I'll send you straight to hell/I'll send you love letters like a bullet/I'll send you lipstick kisses/Forever in dreams/I'll send you love letters straight from my heart", etc, etc... Most of these were on an album called "The Looks or the Lifestyle", which is probably difficult to get hold of now! Has anyone else listened to it?

Unkle sample the Giant saying, 'Its happening again' in one of the inserts to a song on their first album. Its very spooky.

i have my iPod on shuffle here at work this morning, and Interpol's "Who Do You Think?" came on. I had never noticed this before, but the line in the chorus goes "Who do you think that is there?" Seems like a strange phrase to use in a pop song unless they were directly quoting Agent Jeffries from FWWM.

Everyone that likes the Twin Peaks music must check out Bohren & Der Club Of Gore. They haven't done any songs about Twin Peaks, but they play a kind of noir jazz that does sound a lot like the music from many of Lynch's movies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA4jpq8Q128 Another similar band is Dale Cooper Quartet and The Dictaphones. A more direct reference to Twin Peaks there, but their music isn't as good as Bohren's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfWP7-o5hvc

On Fantomas' The Director's Cut, there's a cover of the FWWM theme song. That album's worth checking out, it's all covers of horror film themes.
Yeah Coop, those two bands have been mentioned before on here. Bohren are a really good band. Their sound has changed over the course of their albums, but Sunset Mission is really remarkably similar to the sound of TP. I checked out Dale Cooper and the Dictaphones a while back, but the best thing about them is probably their name unfortunately.

Oh, I didn't know that giospurs. I'm new here. Another band that mentions Twin Peaks is the ambient band Stars of the Lid, which on their album The Ballasted Orchestra have two tracks named "Music From Twin Peaks Episode 30 Part 1&2". Great stuff. And I love Director's Cut by Fantomas.

Another recent one is the song "Twin Peaks" by Surfer Blood on their recent album "Astro Coast." It seems to just namedrop TP and David Lynch though--from what I can tell, the song doesn't really have anything to do with the show.

I found that song particularly exciting when 'Our Love To Admire' came out, as I had the idea that the next line was "I keep a five iron in the air". Apparently it isn't, though. Also 'The Scale', from the same album, is blatantly about 'The Road'.
"There is no need for medicine. I am not in pain."

This isn't inspired by Twin Peaks but this song by Girls is reminiscent of Shelley from the Season 2 soundtrack: http://stereogum.com/77492/new_girls_-_solitude/mp3s/ It's a lovely song, but the part that reminds me of Shelley is the appoggiatura at the top of the arpeggios.

You are correct about Black Lodge being inspired by TP, but Now It's Dark was inspired entirely by Blue Velvet...

The first half of Twilight at Carbon Lake by Deerhunter is also reminiscent of Just You and I.
