Except for Evelyn, I can't really think of any characters I DON'T like, though some I am more or less indifferent to.

1) Ben Horne. I don't think he gets the respect he deserves in the Twin Peaks fan community. He was a great villain, and if the writers had played their cards right, I think he could have become the series new arch-villain after Bob's departure at the end of Episode 16. Instead we got the ridiculous Civil War storyline, which really was a great big slap in the face to the excellent writing that went into creating the character, and the equally good performance of Richard Beymer to bring him to life.

2) Leland Palmer. Conflicted characters are often the best ones. Like with Ben Horne, the combined writing and performance of Ray Wise made a guy who may or may not have wanted to bang his own daughter a three dimensional, sympathetic human being. He goes through such a range of personalities and emotions over such a short period of time, that if Bob hadn't have killed him, I think his head just might have blown up.

3) Killer Bob. It isn't often that someone has the guts to make their villain a kiddy-fucking redneck/hippie demon from Hell, and when they do, it often turns out ridiculous. Chalk one up for Lynch and his crazy uber-villain, and one for the dearly departed Frank Silva.

4) Audrey Horne. She had so much *really* going on that we didn't get to see because the writers decided to screw her over just like they did her dad. But, like Leland, we got to see what kind of conflict was going on in Audrey's mind, between average 17 year old girl just wanting to be loved and nutso schizo chick.

5) Jerry Horne. I really wish we'd have gotten to see more of his French Hillbilly Pimpishness. A great Number 2 to Ben, with all the charisma and hyperactive charm of an ADD elf. Like many others on the show, the real potential here was never realized. His scene with Ben in the jail cell at the beginning of Episode 16 is one of my favorites on the show, and IMO, one of the series' finest moments.
