Beware of BOB

When I call out no one can hear me,when I whisper he thinks the message is for him only..my little voice inside my throat,I always think there must be something that I've done or something I can do...But no one no one comes to help,he says,a little girl like you...

| QUOTE: I don't think they forgot about Bobby being hit... It's just one of the many details related to the "upside down" quality of the last episode, how subplots that looked finished start again, how dialogues from the Pilot are repeated or how some characters behave completely unlike them... That's what makes ep.29 such an awesome episode... |
Seconded! I love that about the last episode - stuff like the way Bobby is back in his original leather jacket and jeans ensemble when the previous few episodes had him slowly becoming a suit-wearing yuppie.
Hot-damn, I'm looking forward to watching the 2nd season on DVD this weekend!
Has he taken his eyes off it yet?

Regardless of that fact. We definitely did see Bobby get whacked with a log so hard that he should have had at least a mark on his face in his last scene - unless that last scene takes place much later - in another time.

No,it doesn't take place in another time, cause after the scene with Bobby and Shelly we see Sarah coming to deliver the message to the Major.I think it takes place the day after Miss Twin Peaks contest..and also Cooper's been missing for a day or so...
so...it's impossible there not to be at least a mark on Bobby's forehead ;)

But not actual relations either. I don't swing that way (BUT if I had to, he wouldn't be off my list of "I'd do"). I'll tell you about this in a p.m. I've told this story so many times, I'm sure people are sick of hearing it...

I think I remember, OSF. That whole you've-had-sex-with-everyone-your partner-has thing, right? How many people here have made out with Walter Olkewicz, though? Or gotten a tongue in the navel from Little Mike?

| QUOTE:I never actually assumed that it was Earle speaking through Sarah, although I guess that makes sense. I never really pictured Earle having all that much power in the Lodge, to the point where he could even direct outside human forces from within it. (I'm part of the camp that believes his prominence in the final episode is owed to the fact that Bob knew it was the way to break down Cooper.) I always figured it was more likely Bob, the LMFAP, or one of the permanent Lodge inhabitants delivering that message to Briggs. |
I believe The White Lodge is a different place, in a different location, and that The Giant and the Robed Figure in the light that abducts Major Briggs come from there, and possibly the Owls as well. So I've always wondered why we see The Giant, and Snr Droolcup, in The Black Lodge. I can think of several possibilities:
1) It's a trick of some kind 2) They're there to help Cooper should he defeat his doppelganger and Bob 3) They are doppelgangers So I do not believe it's Windom Earle speaking to Briggs through Sarah. It could be Annie, The Giant or even Laura.

I just checked my new region one box of Season 2 and looked at that scene with the subtitles and mine does not say 'Voice of Windom Earle' when Sarah delivers the message to Major Briggs.

Yeah, I think we've talked about this before and decided that some versions DO say "voice of Windom Earle" ...but I don't remember if any of those were US versions and, if so, which media format they were. Anyway... whether or not you believe Earle is actually the sender of that message, that is totally Ken Welsh's voice saying "I'm waiting for you." It seems kinda silly, incidentally, to think that Annie would send such a message... she doesn't even know who Briggs is. It seems, rather, very logical that Earle would send the message to Briggs to taunt him into coming to Cooper's aid so as to have a final showdown of sorts with him. Earle is at this point drunk on the power of the lodge, thinking he can control it. i think he does have limited abilities while he's there, but he ends up pushing it too far when he does the soul-grabby thing. Anyway; those are my two cents.

This is my opinion: 1. I think that in Miss Twin Peaks contest Windom was just tressed up like Log Lady. 2. But I also think that Windom talked throught Sarah in the last episode. Listen to voice of "Sarah" when she says the message to Briggs.
