I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I'm a fan of How I Met Your Mother. The previous episode "Last Words" has Ray Wise as Robin's father. And previously, Kyle MacLachlan has been on there as Zoey's husband. Is there a deeper connection between the two shows or is it just a coincidence?

I was watching Season 3 of Larry Sanders yesterday. Warren Frost was on playing Larry's father and in the next episode Ray Wise was on playing Larry's lawyer! Also, was recently watching that brilliant episode of Seinfeld where Kramer burns down Susan's father's cabin. Warren Frost and Grace Zabriskie are recurring characters as Susan's parents.
