Characters > Agent Dale Cooper FBI Agent assigned to investigate the murder of Laura Palmer and assault of Ronette Pulaski. He was involved with the investigation of Teresa Banks, whose murder was thought to precede that of Laura’s because of the letters under the fingernails. His involvement with the Banks’ case began when Agent Chester Desmond disappeared. After Laura’s murder is solved his next case was to stop his former partner Windom Earle who had come to Twin Peaks looking for him, killing innocent people along the way, and the entrance to the Black Lodge.
