According to the Nov 05 People magazine, Michael Ontkean was the sexiest TV cop of 1990. Do you agree? (Since no one has defiled the new board with a drooling 'who's hawt' thread, let this be the first!) :P

IMO, if anyone was hottest cop of 1990, that honor goes directly to Kyle MacLachlan.    He worked that black suit...and those little red boxers!! WOW BOB WOW!!!

I've never found Harry sexy (even when him and Josie are getting kinky) I often laugh at him, praticularly when he's drunk and yelling that you can't kill the law.

Coop is more of a fed than a cop, though. Ontkean was quite the romantic leading man in his day, but his appeal strikes me more as fatherly.
I'm also going to diagree with Cooper's sex appeal (didn't he appear in People with a related award as well?) He's cute, but dorky and somewhat stiff.

I can see why people would think of him as sexy though. He's not that bad!! But then he's no Kyle either....

That made me laugh in the middle of a drink...(wiping Sprite from computer screen...)...hee hee...my sick mind didn't pick that up pertaining to his demeanor. It's still just my opinion, but Kyle will always be more cuter and appealing to me than Harry. Tall, dark, handsome...yep, yep, yep. Harry is good looking, though--but like Maddy said, he's no Kyle.

While Coop will always be my favorite, I've noticed that the more times I watch TP, the more handsome Harry seems to be. I think that he's grown on me over time. He's no Agent Cooper but he can come to my resque any old day and I would have no complaints!

Harry is a very passionate lover. He's always ripping and tearing, grunting and braying, trying to get it on with Josie even at the most innapropriate moments. I bet if he knew Josie was in The Knob,he'd have taken it home and done filthy things to it.

My initial response to the question is no. He strikes me as being ...steady. Reliable. Not unattractive qualities per se, but not quite sexy. I doubt he'd ever surprise you. Agent Bryson however, well now, there's one or two surprises underneath that hood.

No, Harry is not sexy at all. Kyle is clearly the better looking cop of 1990. If it was '92, the award would go to Chet Desmond. </ slipped into Girl-Phase for just a second there>

Upon my most recent viewing, I tried to consider the character Harry that way and I'm growing more fond of him and his love for Josie. He just seemed so bland and gullible to me before. Maybe its because I'm older now and I'm looking for constance and security in my boyfriends these days, but he is kind of attractive. He's sweet and loyal and in touch with his emotions, while still being masculine. And unlike Coop and other Twin Peaks men, he wasn't a weird caricature- just a very human guy. Maybe that was the attraction in 1989.

Andy is a wonderful guy--just wanna cuddle him! His sensitivity is very appealing. I love how his character becomes more sure of himself as the series progresses. Andy is very attractive as well---you can see his soul in his eyes as well as on his face. I think Micheal Ontkean has a rugged handsomeness about him, not to mention a very nice smile...while Kyle has a dark and haunting beauty about him--he looks like he belongs in the league of Cary Grant/Clark Gable---old Hollywood. This town of Twin Peaks seems to be crawling with good looking men! :)
