I got the special edition FWWM DVD for Christmas, I wondered what everyone else thought of it?

It'sa nice package, but the essay inside is a bit dodgy I think. There's loads of misquoted lines. Also, the map and character spider diagram seem half finished. There are parts missing from both.

Also, who is the face supposed to be on the plastic sleeve? It doesn't look like anyone from the show, it looks like an old Native American. It's pretty creepy!

Also, the DVD extras are a bit shit. On the whole,i'm pretty unimpressed.

Any thoughts? Is there only about 6 people on the board now?

I'm lonely.

Who do you reckon that guy is on the front of the sleeve, in the bottom left corner?

It's clearly no-one from the show. it could be like, Hawk's grandad or something.

Haven't got this version yet... does the strip club scene have subtitles?

Skybaby, I bought that edition as soon as it came out.

Do you mean that weird holographic thing?

It looks to me like it's BOB and Coop's faces somehow superimposed over the top of each other.  Which would sort of make sense.

As for the special features, well it would have been better if they had the deleted scenes.

But apart from that I don't have any complaints.

I think it's great they included the full length trailer, because that was completely different to the crappy 30-second trailer that was originally shown over here.  So I was glad to see that, and the interviews, though I didn't really see the point of why they did that thing with the names and then the static when you pressed them.

As for that map, if I'm not mistaken that is the same map that Andy drew.

(jahaase, it's a region 2 DVD.)

I just got my copy of the new DVD.

I think the face is BOB/Leland.

There's also a face at the opposite of Laura's face and it fits to the face in the plastic sleeve. Weird.

I mainly bought this because of the extras no matter how bad those are. I just want to see Frank Silva as himself alive.

Well, and at least it's far superior to my old Second Sight DVD. And I just love the whole package.

I didn't expect those extras to be good at all but still I was disappointed... That featurette was below average. Ok, there was Frank and I was glad to see and hear him but he only got to say about two sentences. And those interviews... I heard Sheryl appreciating Lynch already so why show that almost same answer twice. And why we got to see so much old stuff from the movie? We've already seen the movie and we don't necessarily have to see "the best" performances of Sheryl and Moira again. And those quick flashes of each character...absolutely no point in that.

Well, there was the booklet, nice package, Frank Silva saying a couple of things and that longer trailer. Better than my older Second Sight version, but...........

My reckoning is that it's Coop's face on the cardboard main cover, in amongst the red drapes behind Laura.

Then it is (a slightly obscure) Bob's face on the plastic sleeve that "slides" over Coop's face as you remove it to get to the main box.

That makes sense. But it looks nothing like either of them.
