Just saw Alexander Payne's The Descendants, & to me, it didn't live up to the hype. Maybe I'm just a bit tired of hearing about the problems of the rich... ANYWAY, Michael Ontkean is in 2 scenes, one of which features just him, Clooney & Beau Bridges. It's a crucial scene, where it looks like he's dying to say something, but never does!!! Why have someone of his stature in the flick just for scene flavor?!

So people can remember who he is? "oh yeah its' that guy from Twin Peaks"...Maybe it's a precursor to something else and he's planning a comeback..

Maybe he'll be in deleted scenes. With a non-speaking role he doesn't even receive screen credit. And he had an estimable TV and movie career before Peaks. Just very curious...
