I have been thinking about it and can't find the answer: how did Leland get the wound from which he was bleeding when he entered the lodge after laura's murder? was it self-inflicted? was it laura? was it ronette? any thoughts on that? also, why was he so careless as to leave the cloth lying around like that, when he took the measure of using gloves?

Mmm, I'm thinking heat of the moment. Even BOB gets careless sometimes & maybe, just MAYBE Leland WANTED to get caught.

Leland's wound was self-inflicted, he used his own blood to write the "Fire walk with me" note...

Coop talked later on about how the killer was "so intent on killing Laura he didn't realise/care about Ronnette regaining consciousness..", I think it was the same type of thing - he was having such a wild time killing her that some details, though meticiously planned, appeared careless. (In the same way as later after Maddy's murder, when she was in the golfbag and her fingers stuck out, almost revealing the murder to Coop), its' like he found the thrill of the kill and getting away with it to the point of almost being caught erotic almost...(and I think as he was possessed by BOB, he followed his plan without knowing a lot of what he was doing.).

Oh, that bit! I thought you meant the bit in the pilot where the cloth is found - I think that when he was bleeding it was when he was separated from BOB and BOB, as was instructed, drains the blood from him, I wonder if its all his wounds, or Laura's blood too..
