Hi,

I have lurked on this forum for a while but never posted. Hello all! I'm a Twin Peaks obsessive. Even now 20 years after it was broadcast I don't think a day goes by when I don't think about Twin Peaks. How many shows have that power?

I absolutely love the series but the emotional power of the movie is overwhelming. Watching Laura's last seven days unfold made me think of Persephone's descent into hell. I think the only part of the series that comes close to packing the same gut-wrenching emotional punch is the episode where the killer is revealed.

This brings my latest viewing of Twin Peaks to a close. I finished the series first and now have finished the movie. It makes me so sad that Twin Peaks is over forever. I wish I could go back to the time when I was 13 years old and saw it for the first time on UK television.

Well I'll let another year pass and then watch it again. I'm going to be watching this series every year for the rest of my life.

Welcome to the boards, Miles!

I felt the exact same way after I finished the series, especially when I didn't know at the time what had really happened to Cooper. I don't know if I can fully say that I felt that TP was fully over after seeing FWWM considering I haven't yet seen the most climatic part of the film (Laura's murder,) but I definitely felt something I never have before after watching the final scene.

Love, Laura

Hi Laura,

Thanks! I'm really glad I'm not the only one still thinking about Twin Peaks 20 years after it finished.

You haven't seen Laura's murder yet?

M

Yeah, I know, it's embarrassing. I watched FWWM on Youtube and the murder scene (for obvious reasons) and a few before that weren't posted or taken down. I'll be getting the DVD soon, so my first viewing will be officially complete.

Love, Laura

quality is not the worst thing to it... it's just so good to watch Twin Peaks with someone... try to find not only the DVD but some company, too, Laura! I am sure you'd appreciate it. There's nothing like sharing your peaksomania ;-)

And Miles, yeah... how I would love to watch Twin Peaks for the first time again... Perhaps in heaven?

I had a love/hate thing for FWWM. I saw it in the theatre back in '92 and hated it because it made no sense and it was not the series. In 1995 I caught it on cable TV and sat through it again. I then went and rented the VHS and watchd again and again and loved it. Why? because it stands on it own as a film. Lifes good! It's great to be a David Lynch and Twin Peaks
