Just watched East of Eden for the first time and one scene struck me with its similarity to Cooper's final scene of Twin Peaks. Aaron is leaving on the train and his father is desperately calling his name for him to return. He only laughs hysterically and smashes his forehead through the glass of the window. So, just coincidence or deliberate homage?
