BOB killed Josie because she shot Cooper, almost killing him, which would have completely screwed up BOB's plan to possess Cooper, which he did at the end of the series. Serves her right!!

Josie is cured of her near constant malaprops in Season 2, suggesting that perhaps Laura was teaching them to her in her English "tutoring" sessions!!!

Apparently they wanted to film Josie's double from behind or not show her head at all, right? So, why did they need an asian actress?

Interesting question. We may never know unless someone asks Lynch or someone paying attention on the set during that sequence. Mark Frost told me he doesn't remember. Richard Beymer did not remember either (and he shot the photos!). So, maybe the answer is connected to the fact that Lynch improvised the Red Room scene (tossing out the script) Lynch might have just got an Asian actress at the last moment not knowing quite what to film and at the last moment, just shot her from behind.

I'm not 100% sure he filmed her just from behind though. The problem is that every year that goes by, the cast and crew's memory gets a little bit more fuzzy. Everyone I asked did not remember. That Red Room scene took 24 straight hours to film as well - so maybe it's like it never happened at all...

But the photos tell a different story :)

Yeah, this and the BLUE VELVET ear in the mount of dirt have so much awesomeness that I...well, it's beyond my ability to express myself...

Thanks everyone!

Anne - I have all the original scripts (purchased from a crew member) except 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 7. I scanned those pages just for the articles. There are scans from reproduction scripts online.

Great investigative journalism.  This provides closure to some aging questions about the plot.
