Hi! I would just like to know if anyone knows off any book with the same kind of mystic captured in Twin Peaks? Or perhaps of any books inspired by the series? I realize this is some what of a "tall order" but if anyone can knows it's probably on this forum. Thanks!

I hope you've already read them, but certainly Mark Frost's books List of 7 & 6 Messiahs.

Do Mark Frost's novels really have anything to do with Twin Peaks ? I haven't read them yet, but if they are somewhat inspired by the show, or similar in any way, I'm definitely going to buy them. After reading Frosts's interview in Wrapped In Plastic, I was planning to anyway. Any other suggestions ?
"Albert, where does this attitude of general unpleasantness come from ?"

| They're about A.C. Doyle, but casting him as a somewhat fictionalized character that meets another character who's the inspiration for Holmes. It has the mystery/intrigue of Peaks with much of the supernatural elements. The first one was optioned to be filmed, but has never happened. The only books I can think of that are truly inspired by TP would be the obvious Laura & Cooper tomes. Scott Frost (Mark's bro), who wrote the Coop book, also has several mystery novels out.

Thanks for the info Suave ! I had no idea there were supernatural elements in the novels, nor that the first one was supposed to become a movie (show ?). I got to read them.
As a real Peaks fan, I've already read the Laura & Cooper books, which were pretty interesting and a great supplement to the series and FWWM. Are the other novels by Scott Frost good ?

Thanks a lot! I finished Frosts books and i really liked them. I did however struggle a little with the format (or writing style) since I've spent 5 years abusing the literature of Ellis, Palahniuk and Bukowski. I did however notice, while revisiting my Stephen King catalog, that Salem's Lot offers the same small town feeling as Twin Peaks.
