Hello? Does nobody want to talk about this?! I've been checking for a while now and seen no real mention of it. I've seen it now and OMG I LOVED it. I thought the original cast were great! And Paula Merral looked uncannilly like Laura Palmer! Must've been kinda weird for Sheryl to uncover her self though. What an awessome homage it was, I can't find enough good things to say about it!

A recent episode of TV show Psych, which paid homage to TP & used a slew of its cast. Dual Spire= Twin Peaks?

I thought it was pretty amusing; all the references to Twin Peaks they put in. It hasn't made me a Pysch fan though. Sheryl Lee was the town doctor. The actor who played Harold Smith (sorry, I can't remember his name) was sheriff Andrew Jackson and had a Native American deputy. A character named Jack who was blind in one eye. A clue in the form of a book by Earl Windham (sp?). There were lots of things, too much list right now.

You might want to check out the Psych thread over on the Dugpa board: http://www.dugpa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1599 Like many others, I loved seeing all the familiar faces and thought the episode was fun, but I'd never seen Psych before and haven't watched it since. I found myself wishing Dual Spires had been more "tribute" and less "spoof," but you have to appreciate how many references they fit in there!

Anyone know what was in the extra eight minutes that were in the original broadcast? I only saw a repeat. The thing with the bicycles. Was that in some way a Twin Peaks reference? No one has said so, but it seems a bit odd. Maybe it's just part of the charm of Dual Spires, like the cinnamon pie. @JFK: Close B, close mode on Deputy Dan.

*Spoiler Alert* Don't read this if you haven't seen it (Or rather don't want to know anything, etc).
Yeah, Harold's name is Lenny Von Dohlen. He was really fun to watch and made a great deputy I thought! If anything else TP related was ever made, he'd make a good cop/sherriff type character. I LOVED the Hawk reference he was really funny. Especially that he was riding around town on a bicycle. I haven't seen any other episodes, (I don't think Psych's even available over here apart from you can buy S1 on DVD) but when S5 comes out I think it's worth buying the whole of series 5 just for that one episode. I watched in on You tube, yes, naughty me but I just couldn't wait! As well as being town doctor, Sheryl also played the town vet and lawyer! It was funny, yet creepy to me that she was the one who uncovered the body, wrapped in plastic, of Paula Merral (Laura Palmer anagram!). I did think that whoever the girl was who played Paula, she looked uncannily like Sheryl (don't know her name though). I loved all the double entendres and TP references; "Woman with Wood" iunstead of Log Lady (both played by Catherine Coulson). Bobby Briggs (Bob) and Lana Budding Milford owned the local diner and served Cinammon Pie (sorry can't remember the name), references to Nadine's inventions, chocolate bunnies, Reverend Leland (I understand this character was used before in Psych?) and the Julee Cruise music played over the starting credits and at the end when characters were dancing backward/doing Audrey's dance around the diner. So good! I also read a recent Sheryl Lee interview and she said she was hoping to work on the show again in a vampire themed show. Wonder if that would involve any other Peaks characters. :)

I noticed a "Twin Peaks window" in at least one shot - you know, the bright pink ones with nothing in them. Nice touch.
