Perhaps?
In the second to last episode (26??), after Audrey leaves Ben's office, the cue music for something Black Lodge-y sounds and Ben turns around. We never see what it is that Ben sees, but the look on his face tells us that he definitely sees something. What do you think it is that he sees? Do you believe that Ben has seen Black Lodge-y things all along or just this time?

I've always wondered about this, too. I think it's around the same time that it switches over to Pete looking into the fireplace in the lobby and talking to "Josie" - Audrey comes through and whisks him away, and as he's walking out he turns and waves at the fireplace... There's definitely something lodge-related going on here...

Thankfully, I'm not the only one thinking that!! The scene also happens during the episode where people's hands begin to tremor mysteriously.

I watched this very episode last night and wondered the same thing as I can't remember noticing it before, it's been 5 years since I last watched the series and last time I did it all in 48 hours so was a bit dreary by this episode. I am going to watch the last episode and Fire Walk With Me and intend to blog about the film on my site tomorrow. I shall post the link here once I've posted it. Cheers Exy

I Have always wondered about this! So many times I thought to bring it up on here, and so many times it slipped my mind! Maybe Ben thought he saw Josie because at the same time, on the other side of the wall Pete is adressing her? who knows?
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Everytime I see that I always think "oh, they tell ya in the next episode", but they never do. After watching the series a few times I started to wonder if either that was something they were going to use going into the next season before they got the axe and couldnt change it, or maybe it was supposed to have something to do with josie ( how she got stuck in the wood the episode she died ). I always thought maybe she had been stuck in the great nothern now and that may have been why pete was talkin to the fire, or a wall, or whatever he was talking to. Because he saw josie in it.
