Twin Peaks is revisited in the “Dual Spires” episode of PSYCH on USA network this DECEMBER 1ST AT 10/9C!

The main characters of Psych, Shawn and Gus receive a mysterious email inviting them to the Cinnamon (Cinema?) Festival in Dual Spires, a quirky small town nearly invisible on a map. They arrive to find themselves embroiled in the mystery of the drowning death of a teenage girl (found dead, wrapped in plastic) — who had already been declared dead under similar circumstances seven years ago in Santa Barbara.

Ray Wise, Sherilynn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Dana Ashbrook, Robyn Lively, Lenny Von Dohlen & Catherine Coulson all guest star in "Dual Spires," premiering on the USA Network next Wednesday, December 1 at 10/9C!

Bump.

I don't know anything about "Psych" other than recently watching the original pilot online.  I wonder what channel number USA Network is on my cable system.

The show has happened and can be watched online at http://www.usanetwork.com/series/psych/video/fullep/

Lots of injokes, nice to see the cast get work and yet another body of a nubile young girl get wrapped in plastic but basically a study in the difference between David Lynch and what passes for creative on today's cable channels.

I had not seen an episode of "Psych" before but I knew Dule Hill from "The West Wing" and had held the opinion that he would only be associated with a series of quality and when I learnt that there was going to be a 20th Anniversary 'Twin Peaks' inspired episode I was even more convinced that I was going to love this show - how wrong could I be?!

I found the James Roday character Shawn to be very one dimensional and given that this was the only episode I've seen I soon gathered his character was not really psychic but just had a heightened sense of observation.  How that has been spun out for 5 series I can't fathom, and Hill's character fared little better although as an actor I think he is comparatively more gifted than the wooden Roday.

So, as a series I don't think I could watch it regularly and as a 'Twin Peaks' homage it ticked all the right boxes and Sherilyn Fenn is particularly entertaining in her role, that said though the plot and outcome were disappointing in fact all I kept thinking was 'Twin Peaks' was better than this, it was infinitely better than this and was it really 20 years ago?  Have things deteriorated so much in 20 years - well no, cos "The West Wing" was superb and Dule Hill was great in it and now he's in this but this is just not very good.

Hey all, I did watch the Psych episode and found it to be a lot of fun!

The show lacked any true sustenance which one would expect from the true Twin Peaks. I did love the small touches-from the chocolate easter bunny to the red drapes that had nothing to do with the plot but were just there for those TP's fans watching.

I was so happy that some of the cast was reunited-wish it had been for season 3 of Twin Peaks or perhaps another movie (heck i'd take a made for TV movie), but I'll take what I can get.

PS I Loved the Julee Cruise intro!

and outro! other than seeing cast members re-united, the julee cruise version of the psych theme song was the highlight for me.

I probably shouldn't be, but I was surprised at how OLD Dana Ashbrook looks. He's has a full head of gray hair at age 43. On another note, I wish he would have done more with his career in TV and on film. I think he could have been a lot bigger than he ended up.

Striving for the narrow gate.

"There there, Dana. I think you've had a FINE career. And remember when my "father's" hair turned white over night? You're just doing a tribute to THAT. Stop crying, Bobby!!"

Just realized that Shawn's dad (Corbin Bernsen) is named Henry Spencer. That makes Shawn... SPIKE, the baby from Eraserhead!!!

So did I and so did I!

A friend and co-Peaks fan from old days had a surprise for me a few days ago, which was this Psych episode - I'd never even heard of that series but that doesn't do much harm, does it?

However, this tribute episode was great fun for me! Yes, from the chocolate bunny, and the opening song, and the cinammon pie (and festival!) and what was the deceased girl's name? Forgot now, but I was pretty sure it was an exact anagram of the name 'laura palmer'. And perhaps the best of the small jokes - mayor Douglas Fir

But most of all all those Twin Peaks actors - wow! Especially Lenny von Dohlen made a very Peaksy impression on me, and Sheryl Lee's appearance was priceless. And! Maudette Hornsby, well as much as she has aged, she still manages to be... hot!

Very nice fan stuff.

Does anyone know if it is available somewhere online to watch with subtitles? English subtitles are good enough but I'd like to show it to my daughter and she'll have a hard time understanding it without subs. Thanks in advance for help!
