I just watched David Lynch's latest short - Lady Blue Shanghai on youtube (i really wanted to watch it and youtube was the only place, that i could find, avalible). Now, in this movie a blue rose was seen and was also the center of attention and as we all know it also is in Twin Peaks. I couldn't find any connection between Lady Blue Shanghai and Twin Peaks (and it propably doesn't exist) but i wanted to know if someone else saw one, far fetched or not.

There's no link between Twin Peaks and Lady Blue Shanghai besides DL cannibalising his past imagery and giving a nod to Twin Peaks in the process. The blue rose is presumably there to symbolise mystery and possibly the supernatural but Lynch fans are not the target audience and a mysterious blue box would have performed the same function.
