I have to say I expected a lot more activity here given that it's the 20th anniversary of the show.

I have a theory that it was a lot busier back in the day when you could only get the pilot and first season on DVD.  It seems there was a lot to chat about then because we were all feeding off of each other's memories of the show.   Now it's all out there on DVD and there have been recent re-runs on TV it seems to be pretty quiet here.

This may also reflect the status of Lynch, who seems to me to be an "artist in trouble"...

Any thoughts?

Myself I'm not paying much attention to such anniversaries, Exy, actually I didn't really remember about it

But also, I think, you've got a VERY good point here:

and about this I also haven't thought but it's sounds perfectly valid. Memories are vague and full of holes but there's a lot to complete in them and it never ends... there is always something you forget about, and when you have forgotten - you ask others! When you ask others, the discussion goes on. That is one aspect.

Another is that people's memories differ. So one guy says something and the other remember it slightly different. They either start discussing which is right, or they don't even realise there is a difference, yet they have different thoughts because the base for their thinking is not the same... if you know what I mean ;-)

Then when you don't remember every little thing there are always more hypothetical things you take under consideration... some of them you'd neglect if you knew everything because this and that wouldn't fit... so sometimes you wouldn't post it even as a possibility.

And what does it prove? That having it all doesn't really solve anything... that when you lack something it is usually more inspiring than when you are satisfied...
