The topic says it, our dear lovable psychopath Windom Earle is truly a master of disguise and so far we have seen quite a few different sides/faces to him. 1.Trucker (meeting Shelly) 2.College colleague of Doc Hayward (meeting Donna) 3.College Professor (meeting Audrey) 4.Horse /with Leo Johnson (finding and drugging Garland Briggs) 5.Margaret Lanternman (infiltrating the Miss Twin Peaks pageant) (please feel free to list any that I may have missed) So, which is your favorite side of the demented Mr. Earle? I personally thought the horse was psychotically brilliant and hilarious as no sane human on earth would buy two guys in a horse costume as being a real horse. I also thought Windom as Margaret to be rather creepy/confusing when Bobby looked back and forth to see two of them there.

Don't forget the sort of Hungarian plaid-outfitted guest at the Great Northern. "For Miss Audrey Horne... OWLS!" I was young when these aired on ABC, but even I wasn't stupid enough to think that anyone would believe these costumes. Horrendous. I wonder how Earle traveled. What his suitcase looked like.

None of his costumes were nearly as bad as Catherine's Toshamura though... she was scarier than BOB when she smiled at Pete!
Er, would you like some lemonade? I also have some saltines and some apple butter. Or would you like to wash your hands? kittyvillain.blogspot.com

Oh God yes, she was very frightening. What about when she dressed as him and paid Ben Horne a visit in Jail?

Wasn't he dressed as a fisherman when he spied Coop and Annie in the lake? Oh, and above all the choices I love his long underpants.

and did earle work for Lynch/Frost productions or even ABC? How did he score those publicty shots used in countless ads and magazines of Cooper, Audrey, Shelly and Donna for his playing cards?

I've always been a fan of Windom Earle, but I think much of his great potential went untapped. He spends too much of his time acting like a campy supervillain than as the "Anti-Cooper" I think he was intended as. As such, my favorite of his many guises is one we hardly see: In his FBI suit-and-tie ensemble. It mirrors Cooper's own, but where Coop's is always immaculate, Earle is always slightly rumpled, which I thought was a cool way to suggest Earle's state of mind: Unhinged, but still clinging to a facade of respectability.

Yes Margaret, the horse was awesome and indeed so abstract and nonsense And what does he say to Leo? "Leo, you finally found your calling?" Aargh, again I know the episode by heart (almost ;-)) but in Polish... But I think my favourite one is the Episode 22 appearance that someone mentioned, too - his hard accent ("for miss Odrri Horrn") and his unbelievably circus-like outfit (what did he wear under his shirt?!).

I know right like who did he think he was fooling? He may as well have dressed up as a pink polka-dotted elephant carrying a parasol and being escorted by a company of clowns.
