The picture of the guy standing on the Union Jack at a BP protest Rally in New Orleans that was in the press recently. Yeah it is a disaster, but standing on our flag is a bit much. I do not recall anyone doing the same to the stars and Stripes in 1988 when the American Owned Beryl Alpha blew up in the North Sea killing over 100 guys, mostly from the UK.... Also given that we are side by side in "The War" against terror with the USA, kinnda sticks in the throat.

Now I am just back from The Gulf, working offshore, and I know that this is not the feeling, however, there are some arseholes out there who do this and others will see it and think the same.....

I have one acronym for the oil problem in the United States. ANWR.

But noooo. Big Oil is the bad guy? Oil is what ya called energy, the life force of our civilizations. We need and use energy which equals movement and warmth which equals life itself. And let's face it the environment gang has forced oil drilling at a mile and more down out at sea. As far as alternatives to oil? They have been talking Sun and wind and cow farts for decades and it is not 'there' yet. Probably won't be for decades. I had stock in BP awhile ago and it worked out well for cap gain and dividends. I am aware that oil is a necessity and it makes the world go round. Hatin' on Oil seems illogical to me.
