This makes me feel all woozy inside.  Both good and bad.....my doppleganger is present.

Do you think we'll ever see a resolution?
"Maybe so, there has been a lot of talk of the years of finding some way to round it off and we did explore that a couple of years ago, but it became impractical from a story standpoint. I mean all the actors are 20 years older, it's a little harder to sell that Audrey is still in high school. It was great fun while it lasted, and it's certainly fun to see that people are still enjoying it today."

great interview -oh, man Mark.  Can't remember the details of the marked out third season?

planet of creamed corn? Cooper as rx doctor, time jump, Audrey pregnant, Truman and One-Armed man driving backwards into the Lodge? those were rumors.

Maybe they could give her a big blonde wig.

I like the second season (no, really, I do) but it was so far removed from what made people love Twin Peaks in the first place, all this talk of a continuation makes me jittery. It'd be different if Mark Frost felt so strongly about returning to Twin Peaks that he was banging on the door of jaded executives demanding funding, but he's not. All this 'oh I suppose that might be quite nice' business just isn't good enough.

I ran from the noise and the silence, from the traffic on the streets

There's another interview with him over here: http://www.list.co.uk/article/24107-twin-peaks-complete-series-released-on-dvd-mark-frost-interview-complete-transcript/

It's interesting to hear that him and DL thought that the Laura murder mystery played out at the right pace in the end. Fans often say that the problem was that ABC rushed them into revealing the killer, but I agree with him that any longer would have been stretching the mystery. The problem, as he says, was setting up the Windom Earle story, which took too long. It's such a shame, because if they could have sped that up, maybe we would have got to see what happens with the Cooper doppelganger. I don't think it was ABC's fault, Frost and Lynch were too involved with other projects when they should have been focusing on TP and keeping it on the air.

I was just reading an interview with Lynch on TP (http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/tv_and_radio/article7064109.ece)

It's an interesting point of contention, the solving of the LP murder case. Lynch has this to say:

"A big catastrophe was the solving of the murder of Laura Palmer [midway through season two]. That wasn’t supposed to happen for a long, long time. So when it was solved, the thing was killed. The goose laid a little golden egg, solid gold, and then you’re asked to kill that little goose. "

Compare that to what Mark Frost has said (see my previous post).
