It's a good thing Laura's murder was solved when it was. This pair was starting to leave quite the trail of death and destruction in their wake.  They got Dr. Jacoby put in the hospital, a man hung himself and they used Maddie for their own selfish reasons and never accepted responsibility. How many people would've been hurt or injured if the murder went unsolved because of these two?

So, you're saying they're kind of Romeo & Juliet in reverse? Instead of killing themselves, then... others must pay?! Maddie got involved of her own free will. It was just an accident of birth that she looked enough like Laura to be sacrificed to BOB.  Their love may have been cursed, but they didn't destroy anyone's lives themselves.  Even the Marsh deaths were self defense.  You may as well blame Audrey or Cooper himself for collateral investigative damage....

they aren't responsible for Maddie's death but it does atleast to me feel like they used her. You're right about the Marsh's but Dr. Jacoby and that shut in guy can't remember his name but they both did some wrong things.

I don't believe Donna or James were malicious in their working with Maddie, it was her decision to pose as Laura after all. If I recall correctly both Donna & James felt extremely guilty/remorseful upon learning Maddie's fate. If my log is not mistaken, Madeline's murder is what drove James to separate from Donna (likely as a mean to protect her).

As for Harold (poor guy) he was already kind of mentally unhinged when you think about it I mean look at the way he acted around Donna, and finally clawing up his own face with a gardening instrument. Poor Harold was definitely not playing with a full deck, he was a lonely shut-in who probably would have done something just as dramatic anyway, Donna merely helped speed it along and gained him exposure to the outside world.

Well... Jacoby's heart attack could've been brought on by Leo clubbing him in the bushes as well. I didn't like how they treated Maddie, but like ML said, Maddie chose to put up with it. She told James she liked having everyone think she was Laura, and that's why she went along with everything they did. And Harold was definitely pretty far gone to begin with. What I find questionable is how all this crap happens pretty much right after they've enacted some scheme to find out what happened to Laura, and they don't for one second stop to think "Wow, every time we do something stupid someone seems to get hurt, maybe we should stop doing stupid things..."

But then again, it's James and Donna.

Er, would you like some lemonade? I also have some saltines and some apple butter. Or would you like to wash your hands?

yeah, but it's no fun to just call it a soap opera and be done with it!
