Recently joined up with roller derby and that is a great workout.  I also do some cardio about 3 times a week and do some strength exercises while I watch tv.  Just things like stomach crunches and arms and lunges.  I like to do yoga a couple of days a week too because it helps my back.

Yeah, the Kempo X on the P90X program is really fun.  It is a mixture of boxing and karate.  I know some health food stuff are scams but not with the recovery drink.  I can tell a big difference when I work out if I don't drink a recovery drink afterward.  That may be me getting use to getting in shape though because I have been out of shape for so long.  One day I didn't drink a recovery drink after working out and I was so sore it was hard to get out of bed.  When I do drink a recovery drink it isn't like that.

Hmmm Susan you still walk Lola, no ?

I am developing a product -a weight suit if you will, will you? No ah, the idea is you go thru some hours wearing the suit -like while having that lite breakfast ,running that errand, walking the dog.

Tell ya what , I'll send you a heads up when they come back from my manufacturer in China.   ;

By the way. I have decided today that I am a ' Life Coach'. One thing, you don't need any requirements or certificates and i can write off half my apartment and 'needed ' equipment for the sessions. I can write off my art ( and keep it too) -needed for the session room dig ?

: )

Yes, Raymond, I do the Lola Walk!  I also do the heavy lifting of Perrier cases and massive bags of dog/cat food when I make my Costco runs, so I guess I DO exercise.  Additionally when our Time-Warner cable goes out, I shimmy under my desk and behind the TV to unhook cables to reboot.  I'm in really really great shape!

Wonder if a good Wii game might be one where you follow a wagging dog tail on a leash as the dog walks city streets, up hills and downhills and through a variety of hiking trails.

I hear you . You are doing just fine on the exercise. I still think you should get one of my weight jackets, if not the matching slacks, when you are out just a walkin the dog. I suggest a 20 pound jacket . You can add 5 pound increments to the jacket up to 40 pounds. I suppose you could walk Lola while carrying around a case of Perrier for starters.

Follow up : I used a prototype weight jacket-a fishing vest with all kinds of pockets and 25 pounds added. Took a walk , climbed stairs etc. and the only problem is the weight was all around the waist to hip area. The weight should ideally be distributed over the torso, arms, and legs. Hmmm How can that be accomplished ? Rings of weight for the wrists and upper arms. Then shoulder weighted pads. Ring of weight for ankles and above the knee. This suit will be attractive, or at least not too noticeable in public. Maybe a 2 lb matching cap.

I need a kinesthesiologist and a suitmaker. Speaking of suits I would set up a corporation first thing before any sales. Can you imagine the lawsuits claiming people were injured by the weightsuit? Ouch   : )

Update over two months later.

Yesterday I had a positive experience. I tried on 5 pairs of jeans/pants that were bought over a year ago. They were in a heap because they were too small and could not be worn. To my surprise three out of 5 pants fit !! So I have lost maybe 7 pounds and want to drop another three. Exercise has fallen way off the past few weeks but the overeating has been curbed.

My attempts at reducing food intake and my half assed workout routine for the past year are a flub. After purposely avoiding scales for years , I finally got on one and weighed 12 pounds more than anytime in my life. A scary number.  Ah boy

Rebster, are ya in training gurl ?

WOW Your askin me??? hey just wanna say, I still smoke shame on me, drink yes wine  both late  night  after dinnertime, wind down, time, BUT! I excercise everyday, and try to eat the right foods, I dont go out to eat, I cook here, broiled chicken baked chicken, and  grilled meats, and yes fish dinners, make salads, make tomatoe juice , orange juice, and lots of water. I eat lots of fruits. veggies, walnuts just dont go out try not to eat at your favorite places that has fried food. every once in a blue moon is o.k.

and take vitamins dosage along with a shot of b-12 liquid. tooken from mouth also gotta have ginger root tea, daily

avoid the scale once every 3 months. Boot Camp Excercise is what I do at home, just 20 minutes a day. does this seem I am in poor health? I sure knowingly the smoking is not good, once the weather warms up, I will be walkin round the town. at least I did cut down on my smoking, which is good, but I do need to quit!

AS far as smoking goes I only smoked out of self defense with a couple live ins for 2-3 years. That and smoking OPs grubbed from a bud here and there.

I did get into all natural tobacco small sized cigars for the commute home from work five years ago. I have stopped the  lil cigar thing -it is so easy , I've done it dozens of times :). The cigars smelled me and my place up and had  have to go. The best feature of the cigars was it seemed to go with introspection and planning stuff.

So Reb, i substituted yogurt for ice cream, but I don't know what to replace sweet cakes like donuts with ?

I think I only bought one pack of smokes in my life. Pistacios, cashews, mellon = good shit

Fruits, my fave breakfast is mango, blueberries, pomegranate seeds(when available) and pomegranate juice, that POM juice in a bottle is very good!  I tried strawberries with this as well, and it is delish!  any kinds of fruits, that is filling, apples(pink lady apples is my choice), bananas, also a v8 gotta have that daily, orange juice too. this is my daily and from time to time on a sunday, I want bacon, eggs, gravy. the works and hashbrowns, YUMMY! just once in awhile though.

if fruits aren't what ya want try walnuts, trailmix. those are my faves as well. I also love sliced tomatoes for breakfast.

my snacks are about the same, nuts, bagel crisps, avacados, just naming a few here.

Time to buy a new weight scale, I had the the old fashion kind, but was wandering about the newer ones, I looked up on one the weight watchers digital chrome scale, looks cool sleek, but is it accurate? I have tried to keep up on my diet, caught myself a couple of times eating the wrong foods. but got back on track and working out, there is always once in a blue moon I pig out. which dont hurt, but need to just keep on my diet and exercise.

Oh man. I have really cut down on food intake after a shocking weigh in after  hmm years ?? A record weight - a big round number I noted here on  4/11 or 11/4 whatevah . I have lost 12 lbs avoir du p... since that day. I found out today. Another 10 to go.

I had accumulated mass and have , I hope, reversed the trend. Cool not eating as much, all the day long.

A  piece of cake would be nice though. I will try to wait til the 4th. But I know exactly what piece of what kind of cake I want.

i feel good -i love this time of year. maximun daylight, precious darkness. oh yes

hey there myowl!!! wow! now that's somethin! keep up the good work! that's alot to me, my workout right now is cardio salsa, kickboxing and walkin around town here, but it has been sooo dang hot here in Texas, the mornings as well, no rain here.

so I have a few workout dvds. I did treat myself to a yummy chili relleno, just one heh! I made a few, now that's a workout as well , boiling the beans, then refrying the beans, toastin the pablano peppers and skininng them, rinse the seeds off and ya stuff them with the beans and cheese, cheese is my enemy, but it's a special treat  if I want this tasty delish dish as well. I dont know if I posted the recipe for chili relleno, it's alot of work but it's sooo delish! I will post it at the calling for chefs catagory.

anyway wow! glad you have responded here, and  man to me that's a dang workout!!!
