Anyone else have this feeling a couple of years back?...

Before the eagerly awaited release of the Season 2 and More soundtrack, when we had a couple of tracks up on Angeglo Badalamenti's myspace;   a track called 'Half Heart' appeared...pressed Play, and heard the soft, gentle synth, then felt a slow, lovely chill as i realised what track this was, and then the saxophone blasted out its melancholic melody;   how odd and wonderful it was to finally hear the FWWN track, formerly known as "turkey in the corn", only heard twice, in brief snippets, now in a wonderful full length version.  Awesome.

Absolutely. It's certainly one of my favourites on the Season 2 soundtrack. Real sad when you remember the scene in the film too.

I want to know where Charles got some of the tracks used in the DVD menu screens for the TP Gold Box. There's one on the episode 14 disc i think (i thought i'd watch it after 12 rainbow's thread the other day!), and on the menu screen with the stairs and fan, it plays a really creepy ambient piece which i believe is from the scene when Leland fixes himself in the mirror, and we see that he is Bob.

There's gotta be enough songs and soundscapes for at least another Double CD!

My opinion in Post 6.

(It's not a bad song, the scene just has goofy associations for me)

I agree that i thought it was maybe a liiiittle bit cheesey when i first heard it, but i'd never compare it to Kenny G. A proper gay man would surely never lay his boyfriend face down, chuck one up him then hang out the back of him for a while to Half Heart, but i bet he would to Kenny G.

Kenny G. first played saxophone on a Barry White record. I'm sure many gay and straight people have broken one off down by the fire to him.

Half Heart a girl could only bone a sissy like James to, while thinking about what household chores (and other people) you have to do. Or where your next hit of coke is coming from.

Point graciously taken. No pun intended.

Yeah, apologies for that. I started on the beer about that time.

Anyway, back on topic. I had a similar feeling when the first cymbal hits of "New Shoes" kicked in and the chords starting whirring. That's another one of my favourites and one that i really hoped would be on the Soundtrack. It has the most "peaks nostalgia" for me than any other song on there, perhaps except for Harold's Theme which i didn't remember straight away, but was played in one of the scenes that haunted me most in the series from when i watched it when i was alot younger, the discovery of Harold's body and his suicide note.

I witnessed  Mr. Gorelick guest with The Dan Reed Network back in the mid-'80s.  Bastard can actually blow some hot sax when he wants to...

Is that a euphemism?
