if Bobby killed someone why wasn't he turned in? I mean James said somethin about Laura tellin him about it right? in tp/fwwm, why was Bobby out free?

If I remember right, James told Donna that Laura said Bobby "might" have killed someone, so I don't think he knew for sure. Really, it's just a way of getting it across in the pilot that (a) Bobby is dangerous, and we should watch out for him as the story unfolds, and (b) that he is a reasonable suspect for Laura's murder. In my opinion, this is one of the ways in which FWWM is out of step with the overall story/series, as I don't believe that the Bobby of the TV series ever had it in him to kill anyone.

That's definitely true but not a bad thing really. It's nice that FWWM presents a kind of skewed nightmare-ish vision of the Twin Peaks of the TV series. After all, the film was from Laura's POV, a sexual abuse victim, rather than a kooky cop.

I agree with Morpha's post, myself. Bobby's an awesome character. Probably my favourite in the show. He is definitely introduced as a possible suspect, what with the drugs in James' bike trick, etc. But later in the series it's revealed that he's an insecure, and pretty sweet guy. All this makes me want one of the Men In Black to come and erase my memory so i can re-watch the show with my TP-virginity intact. Poppy is off out on a work's christmas do on Friday, so i'm gonna have a TP marathon.

EXACTLY! Wow..I could've not said it any better! I feel the same way.I miss those days when I saw TP for first time. I wish I could turn back the 90s. I feel like I grew up in Twin Peaks :) Well..I guess in a way I did :)
As for Bobby, I always loved him, his boyish charm and sweetness..He was cute throughout the whole show,even when he was a bad boy :D
