A very cool article indeed. Thanks, Gray and I concur with Susan that it's nice to see an article that actually deals with Lynch's work as a director and writer.

Nice article and David will be pleased to know that this screening is occurring. But, if it is a newly struck print, there IS one change. When I did the 5.1 mix for DVD, it was done in the film style of 'A/B' Reel, meaning in 20 minute segments, with pullups for the projector changeover. This was to facilitate 5.1 Dolby Digital on new prints. At a 2003 (I believe the Fall of that year) London theatrical revival screening for which Isabella and Kyle were present, the 5.1 mix was premiered. Hopefully this NY screening will be one of those prints, and if you get a chance to see it, the film itself was also cleaned up, and it looks beautiful.

Great article, and did you read the original review from 1986? I would have loved to see it in a theater.

Yeah... I already saw this article a while ago... I have a clipping from it in my room. It was a very good article. Has anyone read Pauline Kael's review of Blue Velvet? It's one of the best movie reviews I've ever read.
That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!
