Not knowing exactly what you want here is my source list for finding out things Twin Peaks. Over in  Return to index 's own Site Index you will find under Episode Guide both the original Shooting Script and a Transcript of the episodes compiled by Twin G's very own runningdog. If that fails to whet your appetite, then watch the episodes at either CBS.com/videos/classics/twinPeaks or at fancast they are both showing everything except for the pilot episode. "Northwest Passage"

Good luck in finding which genre fancast has stuffed TP into. I just scrolled down to where it was listed toward the end of the "T"'s. NO, fancast does not list FWWM in their free watchable movies but, hey, I sent in an e-mail asking for episode zero and FWWM to be added to their playlists if only for for completeness sake. That and $5.95 will get me a vende cup of fresh brewed "Good Morning, America!" from my local Barista.

He wants the scripts to episode 6 and 7! As I do as a matter of fact. Not the transcripts. I have 23 original scripts in my possession, yet episodes 6 and 7 eludes me. Anyone out there have an original script for those two eps?

The asian man who Audrey sees appears later in the series as Mr. Tojamura's assistant. The script identifies this guy as being Jonathan, they probably chose that actor to play that part and later changed it to the one who played Jonathan, giving the first one the much minor role of Tojamura's assistant.

So may be Gordon have those scripts (6&7 ep.)????

So what?!

I don't have the scripts for those episodes either (I'm also looking for them). It's actually in the script of episode 8 where Jonathan is identified as the asian man who Audrey saw:

68. INT. GREAT NORTHERN HOTEL LOBBY - NIGHT

The ASIAN MAN we saw checking into the hotel in episode 006 is on a phone in the lobby.

It's the scene where he phones Blue Pine Lodge and later Hong Kong... I'm going to fix that "Did you notice" thread to specify that information comes from the ep.8 script...

I just asked Paula Shimatsu-U to shed some light on this. Why should she know? Well, she was Mark Frost's assistant on the show and the 'Asian Man' is her brother in real life!

The whole thing with the Asian Man has always baffled me really. We first see him in episode 6 or so right? So, who is he? He later turns up helping Catherine to swindle Ben Horne. Yet, how did he arrive before the attemp on Catherine's life?

Well, when they shot ep.6 that man was meant to be Jonathan and not Catherine's assistant... But forgetting about that and considering that man is not Jonathan as we can see onscreen, maybe he was there so early to inform Catherine that Andrew was in Pearl Lakes... Andrew knew Eckhardt was coming to Twin Peaks and wanted to be there, but keeping a distance (hence Pearl Lakes) and sent his man to Catherine so she could know where he was... When she "died" in the fire she already knew where to go and that Andrew was already there eating tuna fish...

Thank you Gordon! That makes sense to me now. I'm going to have to get used to the idea that he is playing Jonathan in episode 6. Was it episode 6 or 7 that Audrey see's him in the hallway? By the way, someone just contacted me and said they have scripts for episode 6 and 7. He could be confused and just have transcripts though. I'll let everyone know.

*Update*

False alarm. He only had the transcripts to those twp episodes :(

That Paula you mention is Mak Takano's sister or the other asian man's sister? If that is the case then it would be interesting to ask her if she knows why her brother didn't get to play Jonathan (if he was even considered) and why they casted him anyway later...

Good luck finding the scripts! If you do you'll have the Gazette's everlasting admiration... You already have it, but you'll get more... The same if you find the dancing guy from the Pilot...

Found this on the internet recently:

PIPER LAURIE got an Emmy nomination last season for her portrayal of the scheming Catherine Martell on that surrealistic serial TWIN PEAKS. But this season, she should get a backstage Emmy for playing Catherine playing Japanese businessman Sushi Tajimura. Laurie, dressed in drag with a bra to push down her breasts, had her face made up with latex inserts for four hours each day, filed her nails to the quick, adopted a mustache and convinced cast and crew she was a plump quirky character actor named Fumio Yamaguichi.

Creators DAVID LYNCH and MARK FROST encouraged the deception by taking Laurie's name off the credits, and she plunged into the talk. She carried Japanese magazines wherever she went, and enlisted Derick Shimatsu, brother of the show publicist Paula Shimatsu, as 'Yamaguichi's assistant. Derick scrawled notes on the script in Japanese and served as her interpreter as she asked directors to painstakingly repeat every stage direction.

To find her voice, Laurie studied Rashomon. And Laurie had eightyish Reverend Susumu Yoshida of Gardena, California, read the lines in his halting English into a tape recorder for Laurie to study. The only problem was, Yoshida kept trying to perfect his pronunciation, and Piper kept asking him to stop trying to improve his English accent- a perfect Lynch scene.

Laurie said that she purposely adopted an arrogant, off-putting attitude, grunting imperiously to her assistants, which scared away the rest of the cast members. Until he got the script, just after the Emmys, in which Catherine reveals herself to her husband, JACK NANCE [who plays Pete Martell] was fooled. "I heard Jack tell the producers, 'Boy, is that guy weird!'" laughs Laurie.

"He would have been considered, but he was already working with Piper as her assistant (to her alter ego) and also as her real assistant for a bit."

There you go Gordon for what it's worth. Look for an in-depth interview with Paula early next year.
