What's with the hand position that Laura Palmer makes in the final episode in the black lodge

while saying "Meanwhile"?

Is it somekind of symbol to fire or "Fire Walk With Me", or does that hand position have some kind of meaning in sign language?

...And why did she do it while saying "Meanwhile"?

There is no definite conclusion on the subject as far as I know. Some say it's an Indian symbol, others think the hands refer to some kind of object (a picture, a pillow, a phone?).

The Buddhistic hand gesture (Mudra) that represents "fearlessness" and means "fear not" makes a lot of sense to me.

Yeah I read too ages ago about it being a Buddhist gesture meaning fear not or remain calm or something.  It also represents clear communication apparently.  I always thought it looked less like she's holding a pillow o vase and more like a magic trick, kind of like she's holding one hand up inside the other, maybe this is just because she's wearing a balck dress.

The Buddist thing make alot of sense due to Cooper's obsession with Tibet.  I always thought she looked like one of Barker's Beauties on the Price is Right.

I completely buy the Buddhist interpretation. The only thing I don't get is the "Meanwhile"?

"What? Did your life pass before your eyes? Cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost got shagged, cuppa tea..."

"I´ll see you again in 25 years, meanwhile fear not" Makes sense?

Since I got the Mudra explanation I thought that this was what she was saying. Laura tells Cooper that he´s going to be trapped in the Lodge for 25 years and that he shouldn´t be afraid while he´s there...

Yeah but no but yeah but no but....
